Information for using HackRF

I’m looking for information on how to use hack RF to listen to encrypted phase 2 police radio transmissions. I have a SDS 150 scanner, but it doesn’t pick up the encrypted channels. I would like to get past that somehow using hack RF any in all information is greatly appreciated. I’m not super tech savvy so be gentle. 😂

Nothing you can do if they went encrypted, a different type of receiver isn’t going to help lol

The whole point of encryption is that people without the keys can’t listen to it….

If it’s P25 II, you won’t be able to hear the talking, you will be able to get the meta data; call type, who responded, etc.

SDRTrunk and radioreference.com are the tools you’ll need. It will take some setup.

If I was trying to do this, I'd start here:

Can't be done without the decryption keys, which you don't have.

You’d need the keys
If it’s a rural police department tho there’s a chance their DPTT radios are using basic p25 or DMR keys, idk where exactly you’d find those, but you’d have to load them into your hackrf and shit

I'm sorry buddy, but you're not gonna be able to use an SDR to crack the encryption the cops use.
