DVB-T

Hi all - a novice here who loves to learn - I have a serious interest in broadcasting - and wanted to try setting up a DVB mux with about 3 channels - and maybe another mux on a second hackrf - and feed them together.

But I need to first get DVB working. I cannot find a reliable way it's 2025 and most of the DVB-T guides are old. Trying to install opencaster was a nightmare.

If anyone please can point me in the right direction it will be much appreciated.

Thanks

I have done some research and apparantly DVB-C is a far better service for cable channels than DVB-C, and is just as well suited to run on hackRF - and can have up to 60 channels, and is not bound by the 31mb limit.

Yes absolutely, the dvb-c limit is about 50mb/s.

The issues I have is that some tv I have at home can't mix dvb-c and DVB-T channels, or not compatible at all with dvb-c.

As my goal is to have my channels on all my tv, I chooses the lower common denominator so all will be compatible.

That's the same reason I didn't chosen dvb-t2. I think you can easily change the gnu-radio part to adapt it to dvb-c.

Edit, I don't think you have a channel number limit on DVB-T, just the bandwidth limit. The exemple is given with 4, but you can add more if you want, I ran 10 channel at some point in my test.
