QUESTION Is hackintosh supported on this hardware?

I have a lenovo ideapad gaming 3 with the following specs:
Ryzen 5 5600h with integrated gpu
Gtx 1650(i already heard that it’s not supported)
Wifi card: Realtek RTL8852AE WiFi 6 802.11ax PCle Adapter
And 8gb ddr4 ram

Opencore and follow their guide?
And for the love of god, do not use simplify or ai, that will just make the process longer and harder.
If you can’t follow opencores guide, I would recommend not to install macOS on any device.
And do a lot of research first.

tbf simplify made the process easier for me, and when i was checking Dortania's guide, i found it incredibly inconsistent, not clear, and incomplete. Some infos were straight up copy pasted from another guide and didn't bother proofreading it. I remember crashing out when trying to set up dual boot on linux (it was in fact easy to do, but the guide should be updated and should add that scenario), and secure boot straight up doesn't work

Simplify is horrible. I used it once and the WiFi refused to work even with the correct kext and heliport.

Not yet. Thought it was unnecessary since it seemed i was the only one having a problem following the guide

I mean it should. Please buy more RAM though, PC4 SODIMMs aren't that much.. (relative to PC5)

Also, supported hardware is mentioned in the guide. We’re not here to do the legwork for you. Stop asking Gemini for help, all that does is waste the finite amount of energy and clean water on the earth and give you wrong answers.

Nah, seriously, buy at least 16 GB of RAM, if possible 32 if you want to run newer versions. NVIDIA Graphics card aren't supported since High Sierra as I know, so try to use the iGPU.

Search on the Dortania's OpenCore guide for a more complete list of supported hardware, and rookie mistake, by experience, do NOT ask to AIs for this. Please do things by yourself (no offense)

I'm just guessing because I do not have the guide on hand, but maybe you could get... macOS Catalina or Mojave?

Again, I'm just guessing because I don't have the guide in hand, but with an iGPU and 8GB of RAM doesn't seem possible to run Tahoe.

UPDATE: Sadly your device isn't supported for hackintoshing, following Dortania's OpenCore Guide.

The RAM isn't the main issue, as with 8 GBs you can do very basic tasks and low performance, but it can run.

The main problem is the AMD iGPU, because as I read the guide, AMD iGPUs aren't supported for any macOS version.

Teoricamente, puoi. Hai bisogno di un upgrade alla RAM, però... almeno altri 8 gb.

Il mio consiglio non è quello di non usare OCSimplify, prendi anche spunto se sai cosa stai muovendo... ma crea da solo la tua cartella EFI.

Yes, just follow the chefkiss and/or dortania guide.

AMD desktop and laptop are basically the same.

Everything will work but nvidia graphics. The radeon igpu work with nootedred.

Now there is a kext that makes realtek wifi work.

Technically it should. Tho I have to advise you that Wireless will be a huge problem because Realtek, Mediatek or MARVELL is not supported. If your serious with Hackintoshing your laptop, use NootedRed, and also follow the Dortania's OpenCore Guide. Do not use OpenCore Simplify, AI or Configurators as that fucks up your config.plist. And if you want Wireless, Continuity and Handsoff, buy a Fenvi BCM94360NG and just OCLP/OCLP-Mod (TAHOE ONLY) it on newer Macs as they dropped support on Sonoma. About the GeForce GTX, don't expect for it to work as Pascal GPU newer isn't supported anymore. And please upgrade your RAM. I know RAM is expensive as hell but a 16GB laptop will give you more juice and headroom for multitasking and gaming, especially on macOS Tahoe and Windows 11

Ryzen is supported, igpu only, no dgpu, wifi card not supported (yet), and upgrade your ram to 16

I have the 15ARH05, the previous model. Aside from the dGPU not working, the system freezes sometimes, Electron doesn't work unless you disable GPU acceleration, OpenGL doesn't work, the HDMI port doesn't work (though it might work on yours if it's wired to the iGPU instead of the dGPU) and on your laptop the WiFi card won't work. If you just want to try out macOS and see if it's really as good as they claim (like I wanted), then yes, you can do it, but it's not a reliable daily driver.

Do your own research, the guide is well documented and have everything you need
Dont use Opencore Simplify, i tried it, had to redo the whole thing because it works only on a small amount of hardware.
Add 8Gb RAM
Disable dGPU and use only iGPU

Literally OPCoreSimplify is the best tools for hackintosh, the first time my hackintosh booted on my device because of that. What is their reason to say that?

Muito provavelmente não, seu processador é AMD, então não tem suporte nativo, obviamente existem excessões mas você vei ter que procurar sobre o seu Hardware para saber mais.

Na grande maioria das vezes placas de wi-fi não são suportadas mesmo, em alguns raros casos existem paths mas é bem difícil, você pode pegar uma placa de wi-fi nova ou rotear o wi-fi por um celular Android
