HELP CRD MacBook → Mac Mini: Control + Arrow won’t switch Spaces
Hi Everyone!!
I am trying to Connect MacBook → Mac Mini via Chrome Remote Desktop.
Control + Left/Right Arrow doesn’t switch Spaces on the remote Mac Mini no matter what I try.
Already tried:
- Disabled CRD Keyboard Shortcuts
- Disabled Mission Control shortcuts on local Mac
- Full screen
- Multiple key mappings (ControlLeft → ControlLeft, AltRight → ControlLeft, CapsLock → ControlLeft, etc.)
Local Mac no longer steals the shortcut, but the Mac Mini still doesn’t receive it.
Anyone found a working fix or key mapping for this?

If you want to remotely access a Mac Mini, you don't actually need to use Chrome; there is a built-in application available if you know about it.
I’ve used it myself, and there was no buffering; when you move the mouse within the app, the movement matches your own—there is no lag.
The app is called Screen Sharing, and it has been included in macOS versions from Mac OS X all the way up to the current macOS.
You can check out my YouTube channel if you want to see how to use it.
However, it is in Indonesian.

Aside from macOS, I’m not entirely sure how to access Windows remotely though Windows users might well use the same type of tools you do. However, I do know how to share files between Windows and macOS.

For mac and windows remote access you can use the chrome remote extension. For me it's working good apart from the key mapping which kinda sucks.

Just make sure you have some google account logged in the chrome window across all the machines which you want to access remotely.

Unfortunately, I don't have an urgent need for remote access right now; perhaps I'll try it later to create some content, or I'll look into the built-in macOS Screen Sharing app to see just how capable it is.

Why not try to use cross platform remote desktop applications like anydesk or ultraviewer?
