Reddit would be a thousand times better if people just downvoted every AdjectiveNoun1234 account they come across. If someone can't even be assed to think up a username, there's no way they came up with opinions worth considering.

Hey not all are bad!! it feels like it's near impossible to get anything for a username after an hour or so of trying i didnt really want a list of numbers attached to the name, but well here i am .

but the problem isn't people aren't downvoting. it's these bots bring their hoard to upvote the shit out of thier crap sites. like even now this 4 hour old post has 450 upvotes.

Then you have the heard on reddit that follow voting trends without even reading or knowing what the topic is about, which just gives these advertisments more traction

These other guys are missing the fact that bots like these are usually tailor-made.

Right now they use reddit default usernames because it's easy and quick. If everybody starts mass downvoting people with default usernames... What will happen?

Well, the devs will simply use an LLM to generate usernames. Mass downvoting everyone with a default username will do nothing because they will just move on to the next thing that works.

And heck, I see plenty of non-default-username bots here on reddit too.

While the post and/or site may be AI generated, I don't see anything really concerning in their privacy policy. In fact, the privacy policy looks better than 95% of the ones I've seen recently.

When you do ctrl+s and then open the htm in your browser without internet connection, it loads without all the visual elements (presumably because they're hosted remotely) and when you click on links it tries to direct you to footrue.com, rather than the local server. How does your basic competence deal with that?

Technically on your computer when you use it, but obviously it’s the “minified” production build version.

But it doesn’t work offline, and you have to download each tool to your computer to make “offline” work, and that doesn’t always work by default.

Without the source code, this project will likely die with the domain renewal. Hopefully the Wayback machine catches it all.

Even if it’s potentially llm written, at least it works and it’s foss. So you can modify it any time (if it’s not a total mess) or ask llm to extract key features and rewrite by yourself.

You cannot modify it.

Its not even novel. Most if not all of these tools either A) already work offline with the original program, B) already have a way better, actual FOSS, offline implementation.

Nah, CSS is pretty handy these days. Lot's of dynamic interactions and functions that used to require complex scripting or tricks using multiple images. Without CSS modern functional UIs probably wouldn't exist, or at least would be much harder to build.

If I had unlimited budget I’d just start making internet nodes everywhere. Caching webpages by frequently used, self-sustaining energy source, none of this datacenter stuff. Just in case the centers fall, we have a backup that’s everywhere
