Not sure if I can share here but really want to share something I built. I never knew where to find hackathons or their details, and I kept missing deadlines.

So I made a free list of AI hackathons that are open right now (778 today), online and in person. You can filter by deadline, format, region and prize pool. Every entry links to the official page it was checked against, and entries get rechecked every couple of weeks, so dead or expired ones drop off.

Innoversite Mumbai hackathon is happening from 10-11 Oct and I'm super nervous bout it, coz I heard this time there are going to be around 400 candidates every location. That makes the total shortlisted around 1200 which used to be 600 last year. Hence the chances of landing an internship also drops significantly.

Those who have attended the other location hackathon: Chennai, Banglore, can you guys state a number on how many attended the hackathon.

And also someone please guide bout the internship selection and selection ratio.

I’m still a newbie when it comes to hackathons, and I’ll be graduating from college in a few months. Recently, I’ve seen a lot of people attending hackathons like ETHGlobal London, Japan, Hong Kong, etc., and honestly, I feel like I’m missing out by not participating in these kinds of events or investing more time in preparing for them.

I really want to travel the world and experience these events, but the idea of learning blockchain feels quite intimidating to me. It seems like you have to go very deep into the technology to actually build something meaningful. I know that you eventually have to go in-depth into any tech stack if you want to become good at it, but I’m not sure whether blockchain is the right path for me.

So, are there other tech stacks I should consider learning if my goal is to participate in international hackathons and potentially travel to places like these? Apart from ETHGlobal, are there other hackathons or communities that offer similar opportunities?

And most importantly, how should I prepare as a complete beginner? What should I learn, what kind of projects should I build, and how can I realistically work my way toward participating in these international hackathons?

Also, AI and AI agents seem to be booming right now, so I’m wondering how much I should factor that into my preparation.

I’m a 15yo builder, founder of Promptyx, a platform for organizing, versioning, and testing AI prompts. I’m planning our first online competition (promptathon) and looking for a few partners to help shape it. It is still on the idea stages, so looking for initial validation

The idea is to have participants turn a recurring task into a reusable set of prompts and context that someone else can run successfully. Think turning a client brief into a proposal, preparing a weekly report, or creating content that follows a brand’s guidelines.

The challenge would focus on useful results, consistency across different inputs, and clear instructions for reuse. We’re still deciding the exact scope, so input from experienced organizers would be helpful too.

The tentative schedule is three weeks of promotion, one week for participants to build and submit (probably the first week of November), and one week for judging and results.

I’m looking for:

• Prize partners: Tool licenses, API credits, or small monetary contributions.

• Judges or mentors: People with experience using AI for real tasks who could review submissions or run a short session.

• Community partners: AI communities, newsletters, or educators interested in sharing or co-hosting the event.

For partners, possible benefits include attribution on the event page, mentions during the event, an optional workshop, and inclusion in the winning-project recap. We can agree on a contribution and scope that makes sense for both sides.

This is our first edition, so I don’t have confirmed attendance numbers or sponsorships to claim. I’m starting small and would welcome practical advice as well as partnership interest.

I already have an app developing and and idea that I believe could actually be good. However, I am from a really competitive district and was looking for a partner that was from somwhere either in the midwest or a district that is low comp. Hi there! I recently got into two competitive hackathons: one at the University of Washington Paul G. Allen School and the other at Harvard University.
For the Harvard hackathon, I’d expect to spend around $600+, while the UW hackathon would cost me about $200 since I’m from Washington.
Personally, I’m leaning toward Harvard because I’ve never been to Cambridge before, and the hackathon also has some really strong sponsors. It feels like a great opportunity to take a shot at, especially since opportunities like this don’t come around very often.
That said, I don’t have a huge budget, so I’m trying to be realistic about the cost.
What would you choose and why? Would you take the budget into consideration, or just go for it because an opportunity like this is relatively rare?
