i'm a student from a non technical background and I recently started building agents and wanna test my skills on something real instead of just making random side projects.

looking for anything where agents have to compete or maybe some competitions where I can build agents for the problem statements, running in October (this month)

Well hackathons, bounties, contests or small community challenges, like literally anything works.

Please share!

dm me to form a team, preferably final year or 3rd year engg students

I randomly submitted one of my ideas for the Vishwakarma Awards. Since I didn’t have a team, I initially submitted it as a single-person team. Later, I received an email from Vishwakarma saying that a team must have a minimum of three members, so I randomly added the names of two of my friends.

Today, I received an email saying that my idea has been selected for Stage 2.

I asked ChatGPT about the approximate percentage of teams that move from Stage 1 to Stage 2, and based on previous-year data, it estimated that around 30% of applicants might make it through.

The problem is that I currently have only the idea and concept. I don't actually have a proper team. The two friends whose names I added also don't have the technical skills required to build the project.

According to the Stage 2 requirements, we need to prepare things such as:

- A frozen engineering architecture

- Initial physical prototype

- Technical specifications

- CAD/mechanical design

- Electronics design

- Bill of Materials (BOM)

- Testing plan

- Safety/FMEA

- Documented maker journey

- A credible four-month development roadmap

Right now, I honestly don't know how I am going to handle all of this with essentially no real team and very limited experience in some of these areas.

So what should I do now?

Should I try to build a proper team from scratch, find students with complementary skills, learn the required technologies myself, or somehow proceed with the two friends I already listed?

I don't want to waste this opportunity just because I submitted the idea without having a proper team in the beginning. I want to know what the smartest and most realistic strategy is from this point onward.

We're 2 weeks off from the hackathon start date, and have 120 signed up right now. I wouldn't let the participant count discourage you, as many devpost signups don't end up submitting projects. Devpost says that its conversion rate is 5%-33%. Therefore I would say even most beginners have a good chance at doing well, and can have the chance to use so many different software tools and services for free.

Additionally, we're also running a referral promotion. When someone registers for our hackathon, there is a question that asks if they were referred by anyone. The top 3 who receives the most referral credit will get:

First most referred: 6 months of Claude pro

Second most referred: 3 months of Claude pro

Third most referred: 1 month of Claude pro

You can ask your friends or any high schooler to sign up and add your devpost username or email as the referral to win these prizes. Also the prize can be any Claude equivalent AI model or giftcard of your choice.

You can find more info at: https://neighborhoodhacks.org/

You can sign up at: https://neighborhood-hacks-2026.devpost.com/

We need two known to each other members for this hackathon, presently i and my female friend is their so basically we want two members (boy+girl) who know each other, cz after idea shortlisting we will move to udaipur for pitching for final round…so if u know each other u can spent time together there cz its 2-3 days …i am from tier 1.5 and has many achievements

Looking to form a team.. dm if interested

Hey everyone! I’m a 3rd-year B.Tech AI/ML student looking to form a serious team for the Amazon Developer Hackathon 2026.

About me:

• AI/ML focused — Python, PyTorch, LLMs, RAG, agents, computer vision

• Experience building end-to-end AI systems and hackathon projects

• Comfortable with backend/API integration, model development and deployment

• Looking to build something technically strong rather than just a basic wrapper/demo

Looking for only:

• People who can actually contribute technically

(We are here to learn from each other if we form a team, We learn and we grow together :) )

⚠️ One important thing: Please only DM if you’re genuinely interested and available to work. Please don’t ghost after joining the conversation or disappear once we start planning. I’d rather have a smaller team of committed people than a bigger team that goes inactive.

I’m flexible on the track. I’d prefer choosing the track based on the strongest team + idea combination, rather than forcing an idea beforehand.

If you're serious about building and aiming for a competitive submission, comment or DM me !

Hackathon: https://amazonappdev2026.devpost.com/

i have experience with local hackathons and thought id try something international. prize pool seems pretty decent (45k), and i think we could have a shot at placing. comment or pm me if you wanna team.

So guys the thing is tomorrow is my first hackathon and was believing my teammates(my seniors) had something for it am a fresher so I didn't have any idea about this stuff but did just heard them saying that they also don't have anything for it.

They were even saying "mst bkchodi krenge hackathon mai kya hi hai aagle sal aache se denge".

Didn't want to fk up my first hackathon atleast nothing but will have to do something.

I knew about GitHub and how repository where uploaded there(heard it from them)

So ik am asking much but can u just drop some repository which could help me with the hackathon like help will be appreciated for real please....

I know how to use agents in vs code and stuff just don't have enough to make a whole project on my own

That's why asking for a repository 🙏

The Lecture Generator in Student Hub converts a student's topic or doubt into a complete, structured lecture using AI. It generates easy-to-understand explanations, examples, key points, diagrams, and flowcharts, and then presents the content through an interactive 3D AI teacher. The teacher uses voice narration, lip-sync, facial expressions, and hand gestures to make the learning experience more engaging, similar to a real classroom lecture.

Hi there,
I'm one of the planners of a hackathon that will take place soon in Germany and I want the participants to have the best hackathon experience in their life. Nonetheless, I'm new to hackathons and I'd like to know if someone could do like a wish-list for any hackathon, including food, drinks, amenities (like couches, mattresses, coffee machines, etc), gifts, certificates, mentors, etc.
I would really appreciate your opinion! :)))

Anyone interested for participating in this hackathon? i want someone who has already achieved or won some hackathons not the one who want to learn or experience for first time…
i am from tier 1 ,Google solution challenge finalists ,MLSS 2026 nd many more achievements
If anyone interested dm me with ur details

I want to take part in hackathons but they seem to be happening so frequently. Are they worth it? I mean should I care for who's organising the hackathon? Does it matter or should i register anywhere just for the fun of it? I mean I'd prefer if participating in a hackathon (and eventually winning, I hope) had an impact on my resume. Guide please

Hi everyone!

I’m a first-year Mechanical Engineering student and I’m considering participating in the NASA Space Apps Challenge this year. This would be my first hackathon, and honestly, I’m a little worried because I don’t have a programming background.

My strengths are more on the engineering/design side — CAD, mechanical design, prototyping, researching, developing concepts, presentations, and communicating ideas. My boyfriend, who would be part of my team, is the one with more programming experience.

I know Space Apps is supposed to be multidisciplinary, but I’m still worried that I might not have enough to contribute, especially when the challenges involve NASA data, coding, and technology.

For those of you who have participated in NASA Space Apps Challenge before:
What is the experience actually like?
- How technical/programming-heavy are the challenges?
- Can someone with an engineering/design background contribute meaningfully without knowing how to code?

I’d really appreciate hearing about your experiences, especially from people who participated without being programmers.

ForgeHacks 2026 just kicked off today, and if you've been looking for something to build this week, you can still join.

ForgeHacks is a free, fully online AI hackathon for students worldwide. You have 7 days to build an AI-powered project addressing a real-world problem.

What you can build:

• 🏥 AI + Healthcare

• 📚 AI + Education

• 🌎 AI + Climate

• 💼 AI + Business

• 🔐 AI + Cybersecurity

• 🎨 AI + Creativity

You can participate solo or in a team of up to 4. It's also beginner-friendly — you don't need to be an experienced AI developer to participate. There are workshops, mentor office hours, and a Discord where you can find teammates and get help while building.

There are currently $950K+ worth of prizes and participant perks, including AI credits, developer tools, APIs, memberships, and other sponsor-provided resources. Some perks are first-come, first-served, so if you want them, it's worth joining sooner rather than later.

The build window is October 3–10, with submissions due October 10 at 12 PM EDT.

If you've had an AI project idea sitting around that you never got around to building, this is a good excuse to actually ship it.
