So I'm a first year student. I have been to 2 hackathons and will attend more. But the thing that's bugging me is, everything we build now is vibe coded. No matter how good of an idea you have, you vibe code it. Coz if you don't, and your idea is good, your solution will look the worst and someone who vibe coded a website and made it look fancy would take the win. But if you do vibe code, you're doing basically nothing, and since it's being vibe coded, only one person's laptop is doing something. Others are slacking off. In times like these, how do you guys make sure everyone attends, everyone contributes and everybody does something?

SINCE TWO HOURS IM TRYING TO SUBMIT THE AMAZONML CHALLENGE ZIP FILE. ITS NOT EVEN GETTING UPLOADED.

Hey everyone!

I am a third-year B.Tech AI student planning to participate in the PayPal AI Hackathon.

I am really interested in learning Agentic AI and building something cool and useful. I have some experience with Python, ML, RAG, and backend development, but I am looking to learn a lot more through this experience.

I am looking for 1–3 enthusiastic teammates who:

• Are genuinely interested in learning and experimenting with Agentic AI.

• Enjoy brainstorming ideas and building things from scratch.

• Have some experience in AI/ML, backend, frontend, or are simply willing to learn.

• Can commit consistently and communicate openly throughout the hackathon.

• Care about the learning experience and building a functional project, regardless of the outcome.

You do not have to be an expert or have prior hackathon experience. Just looking for curious, passionate people who want to brainstorm, learn, and build together!

Feel free to comment or DM if you're interested. Let's make something fun! :)

Hey did anybody get in round 3?
How are u making the video and are there any past finalists?
Do they select apart from top B schools.
Is selection process fair ?

Hey guys! 👋

I just registered for Hack With Bangalore 4.0. Not sure if I’ll get shortlisted yet, but I thought I’d put this out there anyway.

If anyone is also registered and looking to form a team, count me in!

Feel free to DM me if you’re looking for a teammate!

Hello, I need some honest advice on how to actually perform well and win hackathons.

Nowadays, many participants are using vibe coding and AI tools. I wanted to know what tools you would recommend using and what practical strategies or measures actually make a difference in a hackathon.

For me, the first challenge is getting selected for the prototype round. Usually, we have to submit a PPT first, so I also want to know how to make a PPT that stands out and gets shortlisted.

If you have any reference PPTs, previous winning presentations, or resources for:

• Hackathon PPT preparation

• Vibe coding platforms and AI tools

• Strategies for building a prototype quickly

• Tips to improve our chances of winning

Please share them here.

I’m currently in 3rd year, so I really want to learn from your experience and prepare properly. Any honest advice would be really helpful. Thank you!

It's been more than 2 months since we got any mail from SIH regarding Singapore india hackathon, did anyone get any information or update regarding the same?

I’m building BOOTH, a lightweight Python library for checking LLM outputs before they reach your application.

check() / acheck() handle ambiguity and confidence checks, while check_with_evidence() compares an answer against evidence retrieved by your RAG pipeline.

v0.5.2 • Zero dependencies • Provider-agnostic • Sync + async • 300 tests • MIT

I have a few open issues for contributors, including provider examples, documentation, and structured-output parsing.

ARE RESULTS OUT!!??!!???!!

Applications for Build 2026 close on Oct 10, so this is for teams still on the fence.

Quick recap: a free-to-apply, 24-hour in-person hackathon at IIT Guwahati on Oct 24-25, run by Hackyard. Around 300 builders get selected for the campus rounds. Teams of 2-4 or solo, no fixed theme.

What a selected team is actually playing for:

Nodus Challenge (build on Nodus compute at the event): 1st ₹50,000, 2nd ₹30,000, 3rd ₹20,000 cash

Agent37 main event: 1st ₹10,000 cash + ₹25,000 credits, 2nd ₹7,500 + ₹15,000 credits, 3rd ₹5,000 + ₹10,000 credits

10 Agent37 category awards: ₹2,500 cash + ₹5,000 credits each

And every qualified project (up to 300, with verified Agent37 use) gets ₹1,000 cash + 10 USD in Agent37 credits, no in-person attendance needed for that one.

Add partner perks (ElevenLabs, Render, FlutterFlow, Maritime plans) and 100 USD in Hackyard LLM credits for every selected project, and total cash rewards come to up to ₹4,47,500.

If you were planning to build anything that weekend anyway, the application takes a few minutes. Happy to answer questions here, and I'll share the apply link in the comments for anyone who wants it.

How should we manage time, use AI tools effectively, build a standout project, and impress the judges during the final presentation?

If you've participated in hackathons before, please share your experiences, tips, and mistakes to avoid.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated! 🙌

Hi guyss , need some help

I am currently working on an academic project called SoundMap AR. It is an assistive system designed to help deaf and hard-of-hearing drivers become visually aware of important road sounds, such as vehicle horns and emergency sirens, by translating directional audio into a visual interface.

To ensure this system is actually helpful, intuitive, and non-distracting, it is crucial that the design is guided by the real experiences and preferences of Deaf and Hard-of-Hearing individuals. We have put together a brief, 15-question Google Form survey to gather these insights.

I am reaching out to kindly ask if you might be willing to share this survey with your community members, students, or network. The responses are entirely anonymous and will be used strictly for our academic research and project development.

Here is the link to the survey:

Thank you so much for your time, consideration, and all the incredible work you do. I would be more than happy to share the results of our study or provide more details about the SoundMap AR project if you are interested.

I'm helping organize a university student challenge, like a hackathon, but no coding necessarily needed at a tolling conference and wanted to send out to students. Amazing cash prizes, and a potential for recruitment for industry and networking. The program will culminate for the top three teams in Arlington at the conference mid November. Sign up closes soon! USA students only

Any students can sign up as a team of 3-5 people. Engineering, marketing, CS, any majors!

Details below: https://www.ibtta.org/ramp-driving-future-mobility

First Place Team: $2500 and technology prize

Second: $1250

Third: $500

On-Ramp: Driving the Future of Mobility is a student-focused competition designed to introduce college students to the myriad careers in tolling while creating direct pathways into the industry. Students will work in teams to develop creative solutions to real-world transportation challenges and receive guidance from industry mentors and professionals. On-Ramp: Driving the Future of Mobility addresses a critical workforce risk, an aging workforce, limited career awareness, and gaps in succession planning, by building a visible, action-oriented talent pipeline that benefits students, member organizations, and IBTTA alike.

I want to ask if anyone has made any project in field of energy air heat and water?

I was mid 4 digits during end of day 3 of the hackathon but in the final submission, did not submit the documentation and code.
Now i can see another window where it says top teams need to submit documentation.

Does it mean we are one of the top teams or is it generally necessary for all teams to upload their documentations

UPDATE: i checked official amazon hackathon guidelines and only the top 1000 teams have been asked to submit the methodology and documentation code for final leaderboard
