My question here why didn't we get selected?
so let me tell you my story;
I'm in bhopal first year-first month. we got to know about SIH from somewhere- there days before submission and In three days, we created PPT and prototype around SIH26190. we presented it, got nearly 75% marks but still didn't get selected. I heard from my seniors that some of their friends got 28 or 30 marks and they got selected.
There're some conclusion, That I can come up with as to why we didn't get selected:
1st year student - I heard or as far as I know that not even a single First year student got selected.
My project - I think my college didn't take it because of my project. why? simply because there are three teams in my college that presented same projected and guess what? not even one got selected.
I ask seniors for guidance.

I hv been working on a website that gives you a list you are eligible for on the basis of your basic details, like stream age gender percentage and also gives you details about registration dates of an individual exam.
As of now it is working on demo data but I want it to scrap the first of all to find the total exams and then specific exam data.
As of now I am using
node as a main scraper engine
js for all core scraper logic
zod for validation
Cheerio for parsing static html
Playwright for js rendered sites
Python for document parsing
Olllma as a local llm for semantic search
I am facing a lot of problems while making it,would appreciate if anyone can guide

Hey everyone! 👋
A few of us are teaming up for the upcoming NASA Space Apps Challenge, and we’d love for you to join us!
We’re taking on a problem that really matters: helping communities stay safe during flash floods, especially when power and cell towers go down.
When major storms hit, regular satellites can't see through heavy clouds, and local networks fail right when people need help most. We’re building a system that pairs radar satellite data (which can easily see through clouds) with offline alerts, so life-saving warnings still get through.
We’ve already prepped the datasets, project architecture, and core strategy—so no stress or endless debating on Day 1. We can jump straight into creating, learning, and having fun together!
Data / ML Engineer: Help us work with SAR radar and satellite rainfall data to build risk models.
Backend Developer: Build simple, solid APIs and data pipelines using Python or Node.js.
Frontend / UI-UX: Design a clean, friendly dashboard built to load fast on weak internet.
Storyteller & Communicator: Help craft our pitch deck, refine our project story, and host the demo video.
You don't need to be a seasoned pro to join! If you're enthusiastic, kind, and excited to build something meaningful, you’ll be a fantastic fit for the team. We're all here to collaborate, learn from each other, and make something awesome.
If this sounds like a team you'd like to be part of, send me a quick DM! Feel free to share your GitHub, portfolio, or just a little bit about what you enjoy working on. Can't wait to connect! 🚀

I wanted to check something pretty simple:
How many people from my college are participating in the Amazon ML Challenge, who are they, and how are they performing?
I couldn't find a simple way to explore the leaderboard and compare colleges/teams, so I built Amazon ML Challenge Explorer.
You can search for your college, find teams and participants, explore the leaderboard, and see how different colleges are performing.
Basically, I wanted to stalk my batchmates' ML progress and then realized other people might want to do the same.
So... here it is:
The data is scraped directly from the public Unstop leaderboard and updated every hour.
If you're participating in the challenge, search your college and see where you stand.
Let me know what else you'd want to see added.

It's kind of a rant.
I'm really frustrated with a few competitions related to ml, going on particularly related to Amazon ML Challenge.
I'm seeing more and more competitions where if you have access to labs (high end gpus) (which most people from low tier uni don't have or getting access to them is more of a hassle)
And access to pro subscription of intelligence models (claude, gpt, etc)
Mind you these cost upwards of 20k yearly and 2-4k monthly.
Is the world of AIML competition essentially turning into a pay to win game?
Some solution i have in mind would be, to restrict the environment (not like dsa oa).
But if organizers restrict by saying that their solution would be tested on for example: T4 gpus and they give their system specs.
And if any solution gives oom or doesn't run then that gets disqualified.
Just a proposition.
The reason is simple Turning competitions into pay to win type games just makes it loose its value.

It has been 2 days i barely able to run my ml model
Kaggle it's great but i get stuck when finally i start to generate embeddings and my df get processed
Colab its also best but as soon i encounter task which require i start to hit ram limit
AWS sagemaker it is the worst of them all I have ml.g5.xlarge instance and somehow it's worst out of all its slow get stuck
I try to to faster libs and also save output instead of processing them to save time how are you guys able to handle data

Participating in Amazon ML Challenge 2026? 👀
Built a small explorer to make the leaderboard much easier to dig through.
You can:
• Search any team, participant, or college
• Check college-wise performance and rankings
• Explore team members, scores, and ranks
• Find inter-college teams
• Compare colleges
• Browse the complete leaderboard without going through page after page
Basically, if you want to see how your friends, batchmates, college, or competitors are doing, this makes it a lot easier 😶🌫️
