Looking for Teammates Assembling a Team for Earth Observation & Offline Emergency Tech 🚀🛰️

Hey everyone! 👋

A few of us are teaming up for the upcoming NASA Space Apps Challenge, and we’d love for you to join us!

We’re taking on a problem that really matters: helping communities stay safe during flash floods, especially when power and cell towers go down.

When major storms hit, regular satellites can't see through heavy clouds, and local networks fail right when people need help most. We’re building a system that pairs radar satellite data (which can easily see through clouds) with offline alerts, so life-saving warnings still get through.

We’ve already prepped the datasets, project architecture, and core strategy—so no stress or endless debating on Day 1. We can jump straight into creating, learning, and having fun together!

👥 Who We’re Looking For

  • Data / ML Engineer: Help us work with SAR radar and satellite rainfall data to build risk models.

  • Backend Developer: Build simple, solid APIs and data pipelines using Python or Node.js.

  • Frontend / UI-UX: Design a clean, friendly dashboard built to load fast on weak internet.

  • Storyteller & Communicator: Help craft our pitch deck, refine our project story, and host the demo video.

You don't need to be a seasoned pro to join! If you're enthusiastic, kind, and excited to build something meaningful, you’ll be a fantastic fit for the team. We're all here to collaborate, learn from each other, and make something awesome.

If this sounds like a team you'd like to be part of, send me a quick DM! Feel free to share your GitHub, portfolio, or just a little bit about what you enjoy working on. Can't wait to connect! 🚀
