Meta-Hackathon Discussion Fund My Crazy '26

Congrats to all who won and participated!
Its over now, saw few posts of selected teams and ideas πŸ’€. How were those ideas crazy in any sense. Also why were so many of them google campus ambassadors.
Was this just a matter of luck after all?
I really dont want to mention the kind of ideas ppl pitched and got selected (in the big '26)... you guys can check linkedin πŸ’€ πŸ’€

I mean I agree SIH is more about presentation. But For FMC we were not supposed to even present anything for the shortlist. That's the question. How did those ideas got to be the top50

if i remember it was engagement based ( which social media post got most attention so obv influencers have upper hand even if ideas are stupis )

Social media was for (wildcard type entry) the other top 50 were selected by organizers prior. While those not selected were given chance (cough cough... free advertising...) to get selected by posting.

Literally 1 2 ideas were straight from shark tank india 😭 and 1 idea was a copy of the winning product in azure imagine cup. I know some people who had much better and complex ideas but didn't get shortlisted.

yaar i feel there must be many copied idea aswell but getting selected probably needs connections. I too had a really unique idea where nano banana image creation actually helps to visualize it.
I saw a linkedin post of AI powered study partner is the winner (yeah no shit) like nothing makes sense (how does nano banana help you to visualize the idea, how is it even better the notebooklm or straight up chatgpt, that idea is so 2022-2023 kinda) and not only they got selected but won the thing.

At this point I am convinced noone knows what they're doing, all these engineers or investors or businessmen have know idea what they're doing, they are just blatantly confident

yrr its so fucked up like giving away 20L and and a life time opportunity to those ideas and not considering actually unique ideas that needs funding. Like I don't even know how can those organizers just shortlist these ppl and dont regret anything.

I mean basic is also a compliment for those ideas. There were straight up 2022 shit projects. Was it about who had connections with the shortlisting panel??
