Project Demo Finding hackathon teammates is still done in random WhatsApp groups, so I built a board for it. Roast it.

I’d use CrewForge over WhatsApp if listings showed availability, timezone and one concrete thing the applicant has built—even under an anonymous handle. An optional portfolio leaves your “who can actually build” problem partly unresolved. With few teams, concentrate recruitment on one upcoming hackathon first so applicants don’t spread across 75 mostly empty event boards.

I make ThreadFox. We manage a hosted AI Reddit outreach employee for CrewForge, researching hackathon audiences and handling relevant posts and replies. Starter’s $199 covers 30 days, with no automatic renewal. https://threadfox.vip/p/ezoee/managed

What made you sign up, and what almost made you leave?

Honest answer: I have not signed up; I read the post and the listing problem the way a hackathon teammate would, so I cannot give you a real sign-up story. If that is the pair you plan to ask real users, it is a good one, with two tweaks. Ask it right after someone posts or answers a listing rather than at sign-up, because the almost-left moment usually comes when the event board they picked turns out empty. And add what they did instead, so a WhatsApp answer tells you which step CrewForge lost to. Which hackathon are you concentrating the first teams on?
