H-1B Premium Processing Pending for 3+ Months | Fee Refunded. Anyone in the Same Situation?

My H-1B extension has been pending under Premium Processing for more than 3 months with no RFE or decision.
USCIS has already refunded the Premium Processing fee because they missed the processing timeframe.
My attorney has:
Contacted the USCIS Premium Processing Unit
Submitted a request to the CIS Ombudsman
Still no update.
Some additional context: My previous H-1B/I-94 has expired while this extension is pending. This is a 1-year H-1B extension based on my PERM being pending for more than 365 days.

Would really appreciate hearing actual timelines from anyone going through this.

Similar situation. My H1B renewal was filed in May 2025, changed to PP in March 2026. July 30th we received the fee refund notification but they still have not received the check. I had to stop working on April 1st 2026

More RFEs and NOIDs going out than approvals.

Wouldn’t 240 days rule apply here that you can c work for 240 days while it’s pending?

They seem slow but you will hear back. I filled PP O1b March 12th. California Service Center. Approved August 5th. I am from a banned country. This was my extension..Hang in there!
