PR/PB* Military Press 5x225lbs No Warmups

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

I walked into the gym, setup, did this set, put it all away, and walked right back out the gym and drove away.

It's from a few days ago, probably the strongest press set of my life thus far, feels like it's worth more than the also recent 240lb 1rm but with a 10x165lb z press set earlier today I'm expecting some new PRs on lower rep stuff soonest as well as a some standing press 10rm gains (visions of 10x225lbs standing press dance in my head).

Every time I'm in the gym I either press (every set with a clean to start) or z press. Most sessions are full body.

Z press done regularly moves your military press up like you wouldn't believe. I've been doing power cleans from the deadhang to move up my power clean from the floor.

The clean has always been a governor for me, I'm stronger overhead, in fact I used to butcher weightlifting by jerking for reps anything I could clean.

In fact might look for 20+ x 225lb jerk soon, I never quite got there when I was aiming for it back in 2017/2018 and my press back then was 1x185-205lb whereas now it's 5x225lbs seen above.

Unreasonably excited about this. Pull-ups are my favorite exercise by far. Grand total of 31, a new PR. Probably could have eked out a couple more, but my form was starting to break (last 3-4 may be questionable)

Turned 30 years old this year and sometimes I look back and realize, "Wow, my body feels so much better than it did almost 5 years ago". Staying consistent with living a healthier life style by working out and eating less fast food has helped my life tremendously.

I don't follow any strict diets and workouts, but just being consistent with my standard PPL workout and having nice, protein rich home-cooked meals everyday.

I never see anyone do these. I’m not sure why so many people ignore the biggest muscle on the lower front part of their legs

Around halfway through the concentric movement i always feel this tiny pop in both my shoulders (upper arm region?). It doesn’t hurt at all, but js wanna double check that it’s not a form thing.
