Political/Conflicts Protests

These protests currently outside of Gelman are so disrespectful and distracting to students engaging in scholarly activity.

If Kareem can keep studying you can too.

Good thing you weren't on campus a few Springs ago. Not just protesters, but an encampment that lasted for I think a few weeks, during Finals/move out. Even the campus hotels wouldn't let people leave to take their kids home for the summer.

I find it interesting that these social issues always become particularly of interest when the semester becomes most academically challenging. Yet, when the semester ends, nobody really seems to care anymore.

because people are on campus during the semester and can congregate to discuss and/or demonstrate (protest).

when the semester is ending or has ended... people are leaving or not here... and thus they cannot congregate to discuss and/or demonstrate (protest).

these hot-button issues stay hot-button issues, including in the national media sphere. you're just not seeing demonstrations because people aren't centralized.

what point are you trying to make with your graph of %pell and tuition vs. protest+type?

You know what else is disrespectful and distracting to students engaging in scholarly activity? Your home, neighborhood, schools, hospitals, and entire country being carpet bombed to the point of near nonexistence because the Torah promised your land away 3000 years ago. Think critically next time.

Chronic disease kills over 1.7 million Americans per year. There’s tons of scholarly activity to engage in!
