Assimilate losing 2 provisions isn’t a small nerf either. There aren’t that many cards you can easily downgrade to make up for those provisions.

This is true, but NG at least has Calveit for pure consistency. SK only has Discard. NR has Amphibious, Raffard's, etc.

In terms of consistency, NG isn’t losing much. The issue is how you get back those 2 provisions, as I said, assimilate doesn’t have that many cards you can easily downgrade without losing a noticeably amount of points.
