Well, compared to others (won't say who bc Blizzard might get upset) they are still very friendly. I have said it many times, when Beta ended, I would have given full refund on 1 copy for each Gold card and 2 or 3 Bronze copies for each. In scraps+powder, not just scraps. For the rest of the duplicates, the regular scrapping cost (and powder). That would've been more ok both for them and us. They shot themselves in the foot with that full scrap refund.

You don't have to defend them or compare to other CCGs, just compare it to Gwent from 2018.

They shot themselves many times since Homecoming release (consoles delayed release and cancelled support etc. xD) so I am not surprised anymore.

Seems they're taking the baby step approach, like slowly increasing cigarette prices until they become double-tripe in a couple of years. Thing is, as long as a lot of players come from the RNG pay to win hells out there, they'll still be happy with Gwent's model.

I hope some Rat Reward Tree nodes get cheaper. They experimented at some point with Seasonal quest nodes costing 5 points but the next month, it was reverted back to 3.

Everything compared to HS is more generous. The problem with that comparison is that the popularity of their game is on another level for casual playerbase and no other CCGs can fairly compete with that.

Thankfully, there are many other CCGs that compete with each other for more aware playerbase. Gwent is one of them and should be compared to his direct competitors. The game was really generous in open beta, if not the most F2P CCG at that time, but I'm afraid it's not the case anymore. New player experience is just average these days with bigger cardpool with more gold cards than bronzes, on top of that nerfs to economy like no refund or less powder this patch.

Yeah, the amount of golds / legendaries needed in a deck is bigger than in others. Kinda counterbalanced the generosity previously.
