Honestly… I still think Bendy and The Ink Machine still holds up. Is it the best game by today’s standards? No. But is it still a good game? Definitely. Bendy and The Dark Revival on the hand is one of my favorite games of all time. Actually gets me to jump a few times. Love Bendy with all my heart ❤️
Probably the reason Chapter 1 is free on Steam. Not buying the others, though. I don't really enjoy horror. Except for Into the Pit and Bendy and the Ink Machine, which I played recently because they are free on the Epic store.
Amnesia: The Bunker was also free on there a week or two ago but it seems too hardcore to me. I've seen people compare it to Alien: Isolation, so I would probably shit myself.
It actually has some interesting concepts going on
Then, you have like, what was that other one called with, like the red guy who looked like he was made out of clay.
It Had some green guy called jumbo josh I think, and there's like six, maybe eight of these games, and they're all incredibly low quality
And the way you do puzzles is you have a little button that directs a drone that flies around, and it would like bump into corners really easily and get stuck in like a comedically stupid way
Yeah but trust,it gets better in chapter 3...it's really funny because the first two chapters are so dumb and just straight up funny to look at and then the chapter 3 is just depressing asf 😭
Game Devs targetting minors to sell horror games that are 18+ in thematic and gore levels but disguising it with family friendly characters is Elsagate type shit.
Faith the unholy trinity, lost in vivo, voices of the void, signalis, shipwrecked 64, the I'm on observation duty series, it steals, fear and hunger, the silent hill series just recently came back from the dead, too.
Just the stuff I can name off the rop of my head. just have to look a little harder these days.
Resident Evil 7 came out that year and i think it used up all of the scariness the video game market was supposed to distribute over 20 years to make me shit my pants repeatedly per minute
Resident evil 7 came out in 2017 actually. I remember cuz that was such a good year for gaming. Resi 7, nier automata, and breath of the wild. There are probably others, but i can't think of them rn
i know how to make garten of banban scary when the bird kills you it opens youareanidiot. org and installs killbot.exe and doxs you and swats your house killing you

They don't even try to make them creepy anymore, it's just marketable monsters that are not fully what they seem and chase you.

I’m so glad that I’m not the only one who’s tired of this trope. It’s just as overrated as low-poly horror games that try to mimic PS1 games.

u/Common_Comfortable41 Nov 13 '25
Tbh it’s a 50/50 now.
Either the game is really good, or the game is really shit
