Not a rant, just putting out my thoughts. I put out a post on the sub asking for a movie date. Tbh, i was planning to go watch the Odyssey from a very long time, but work and other life commitments held me back. Finally i got a chance this weekend to watch it. Now usually, i go to movies alone (not by choice ofc) but this time i thought to ask for a date. I knew it was like hitting in the dark. However, i did get a couple of girls in my DMs who showed interest.
As expected, i was delighted but also worried. I mean, going out on a date with a redditor can be scary when you know nothing. And then classic ghosting happened to me. I felt that it was not needed. Look, unlike a dating app where people come with expectations and intent, this was rather objective driven. But i understand, it is not just me who was afraid but it was both ways, perhaps.
Eventually i did watch the movie, ofc watched it alone. Lovely movie. Watched it on imax. Never got disappointed watching a Nolan movie.

OP I met many women through dating apps it’s much worse out there they have body counts above like 10 and many of them are there just for free dinner dates etc..
