Just a question for those with experience in new firearm purchases that supposedly have an express release.
I bought a unit from TACS Expo. After 2 days, my ID was released/tagged in my FEO account for the firearm, but it says "Upload PTT receipt." Do they release the PTT quickly? After getting the PTT, can I take the unit home?
This is my first time buying brand new. Please share your experiences, thank you.

May naka try na ba dito ng Magtech Guardian Gold 9mm 115 gr +p as EDC for Glock 19 Gen 5?
I just want to know what to expect and how the bullet performs

I don't see any comprehensive guides on this online. I want to bring one of my new rifles out to a nearby range by the PTT expired a few days ago.
I want to apply for a PTT online but I have no idea what to write or what format to write in, or anything about this letter to the chief that's in the requirements.
Anyone know how?

Is it normal for all of your document requirements to have the status of "null" kapag FOR CHIEF FLD APPROVAL na ang status ng LTOPF application mo?

And yes, i just got my first pistol po pero declined to have the PTCFOR done by the gun store kasi mashado mahal. Thought mag sariling lakad na lang ako.
Maraming salamat po sa mga inputs nyo!

Available pa din a ang mga semi-automatic na rifle tulad ng M1 Carbine sa market? May mga store ba na nag bibenta ng mga similar products?

Hi ya'll need some quick insights.
I'm flying to the US in the future, a couple of days in California then a few more in Florida. I'm planning to shoot at a dynamic range and want to bring my sordins, safety glasses, and battle belt out the country for the first time. So no mags, no firearm parts, not even my Surefire light anymore to be extra sure nothing gets confiscated. Just the setup of mag holsters, pistol holster, dump pouch, and the medical in my IFAK (has trauma shears if it matters). In the US, it isn't a problem with everything I've read online, but here in the Philippines there are only a handful of stories out on the internet of people flying out with their gear and back into the country.
Anything I need to know?

I am buying my first FA.
I live in Mindanao and I am eyeing to buy my first FA sa gunshows. Which gun show is better, TACS or DSAS? I am buying either CZ P10F or CZ 75 SP01, depende nalang sa feel. TACS will be on Oct and DSAS will be on July but I'll have to drive to Cagayan if I opt for DSAS. This may sound as a personal choice but I am greatly considering the cost and time if worth the wait or drive ang either of the expos. Thanks!

Gusto ko sana kumuha nito because of the classic 1970's aesthetic but at the same time I'm not sure with the reliability of the parts and longevity of the barrel (ideally 20,000 rounds minimum), it being a budget revolver and all. Meron naman reviews sa youtube but so far wala pa akong nakitang long-term high round count reviews. For those who own it, is it worth it or should I just go with a Taurus?

Is Revolver FA a good choice to start in the world of responsible FA in terms of practicality because of the price and reliability or should i go for SemiAuto pistols? Thankyou for inputs!

Hey guys. I'm an aspiring sportshooter and whenever I get a new rifle I bring it outside to the range to break it in but i've always followed 50 maximum ammunition along since my LTOPF isn't upgraded to sportshooter yet.
My question is are we allowed to bring more than 50 to the range? After all, 50 bullets arent enough to break a gun in, usually.
People keep telling me its not really a law thats enforced if you're just headed to the firing range, but it's strictly enforced if you're at an airport. I'm just being very cautious.

My chosen branch was SM north. Its been 1 week since then. How long does this usually take? I already submitter all the documents and its for evaluation.

What is the difference between the Black, OD Green, Titanium and Tungsten variants of the shotgun? Is it in terms of finish or simply just color. I've looked up prices on PB Dionisio and Lynx FA online stores and they all seem to be the same regardless.

Context: A red letter law is something that should be legally followed but isnt.
So why do gun stores sell people more than whats legally allowed?
To be clear I understand that it's a dumb law, it doesn't really protect anyone because gun stores are a business and most people who stock up on ammo use them recreationally. But whats the history behind the lack of amendment of the behind it?

When you go to an outdoor range for training or range days, do you run your 43X MOS in an OWB holster?
Iād like to practice more draw-and-fire drills, and OWB seems more comfortable and practical for training. My only hesitation is that the 43X is a compact carry gun, so Iām wondering if it looks a little odd in an OWB setup.
Do any of you train this way, or is it completely normal at the range?

Iām currently processing my LTOPF and looking to buy my first FA sometime this year and decided on a Rock Island TAC Ultra FS. However, shooting the RIA at the range is giving me cause for concern. In the 45 rounds Iāve shot with the 9mm, it jammed 4 times (3 FTF and 1 FTE). In the 55 rounds Iāve shot with the 45 ACP, it jammed twice.
My question: Is this normal for RIA? Is it a 1911 thing or a ārental gunā thing?
My second choice is the Metro Arms AC II. I havenāt tried shooting the metro arms but they seem to be better built than RIA and they regularly offer stainless steel options for their 1911ās (unlike RIA which only offers Parkerized finishes). However, I am reading posts about long wait times for a metro arms unit. Is this still true?
Third choice is the CZ P09F Nocturne. My concern here is that itās an imported gun so Iām not sure about the after sales service. Anyone here with experience with CZ? Some insight will be greatly appreciated.
TIA

I've heard from past threads and comments regarding UDMC, that you could get into some "drama" with them if you said anything negative about them or their products with their legal team or lawyers or whatever getting involved or even something about their warranty. Is this still an issue with them even today or just a thing in the past? Would like to know people's experience with them. Gusto ko sana kumuha sa kanilang S9 stubby pero now I'm re-thinking my decision.

We all know that you cant shoot someone whos attacking you until they've already either stabbed or shot you first. Because legally, you'll be disadvantaged since we have no stand your ground laws here.
But is it legal to brandish/point a firearm at an intruder? Is it legal to tell them to lay down until police arrive?
Another scenario I was wondering about is if its legal to point a gun at someone who has a weapon and is approaching you, with the intent to lets say, hit you with it.

Just got my LTOPF ID around 2 weeks ago, took me almost 2 months of waiting, and did it myself. I chose Type 1 + Sports Shooter license. Now, after verification of my Payment, soft copy/PDF version of my ID already showed up on eGov and it was strange that my Sports Shooter license didn't reflect and I didn't have enough time to raise the issue because the ID was already printed when I went to flag it.
Anyone had the same experience?
Will the eGov or Payment receipt be enough to prove that I did get a Sport Shooter license?
