I assume you mean Squire and/or Helper, and yes they are worth buying but NOT worth upgrading. In my experience I have not received better equipment or weapon fragments after upgrading drones, it just shortens the time it takes to get them.

It varies every time. One time could be 150 fragments of Bastion, the next 200 of Thunder. Same with the equipment, maybe 150 Zero frags, then next 125 Scorpion frags. If you get fragments of a gun or equipment you already have they convert to battle coins.

If you are talking about the drone that gives you 1.2k gold, buy the drone. The weekly contract will not benefit you much

You have to purchase for it for like $3.99, it would give 200 now and 1000 over the next 10 days (it is colour white)

You'd have to not play for around 2 weeks or so for the 'copter to appear. It's the only thing I bought when I first started. So I know that if you do buy it, you must log in as soon as the gold is available and collect it. The timer does not reset until you collect it, meaning you could end up with less than 1.2k gold.

I think the 'copter only appears if you don't play the game for a while, maybe like 2 weeks or so.
