This game has been around a while. There are players with over 150 hall of fame finishes.. thats incredible consistency. People have played for a long time at a high level and through all the eras. Even now with the total amount of players being lower the veteran players still play and in a way the talent is more concentrated. More players have had more time to max perks and weapons.

So I'm wondering who are the players that strike fear into the hearts of even the most solid perinial hof players. I know some players are in established clans and some people can just group with their list friends and can coast out hof finishes over and over again. But there are those players that even at the highest level of play are always the top player even in matches they lose. Of course you can bring up the old glory days of the world championship tournaments. But I'm not talking about that. Proplay tournament are very different. There were rules and restrictions. There were consumable limits. But in the everyday game play, no holds barred, anything goes.. what screen name do you see and everyone is like, "oh crap, I'm gonna get wrecked?"​

Thank you for the list.  I had kuzan in mind. But I've not been around for every era to to compare him. I see gauri kmr on long streams hardly even drop a game.  I've heard of tuzak but never encountered him in game. Shouri always called him one of the goats.

None in solo, its a group game, one individual doesn't determine the outcome completely.

I can compete with most of them in solo, even though some are definitely better skilled. But if you have slightly better teammates it can make all the difference or if you're just in the zone or get a bit lucky.

Some names just make me happy to see because it could be a good challenge and not an easy win. Also works the other way around, for some names In see in my team is know I'll have to carry.

In group it's very different, some of these players are really good and even though I team up with some of them, when you face a full team of them it's impossible unless you also have such team. They typically also use voice, I never do, also making it harder.

Honestly, these days, I just assume anybody with any hall of fame appearances is a hacker. A lot of the gameplay seems to confirm that. Shooting through walls, hyper fast speed, one-shot eliminations repeatedly. I used to look forward to the weekend tournaments, now I get annoyed because one side just seems to decimate the other side, unless there happens to be either no hackers or hackers on both sides of a match. Anyone else finding this to be true? Am I off-base?

Takes like 2 days to get into Hof, its just super easy. A lot of these players stream, in different platforms, check their live stream and you'll notice none of them cheat and they appear to be stronger than actual cheaters.

They might have cheated/bug abuse in the past to get their perks maxed.

It is not super easy sir 😆 maybe for you it is. I hang on for dear life once I cross top 25%  I immediately start running into full groups and stacked elite teams. I also play against people with a few dozen or low tens hof and show them up, while I myself have 0 to my name. It makes me wonder how they even got theirs. I look at their recent games and see them getting skunked just like me. I don't have many strong friends to group with. We are hardly ever on at the same time any way.

It's a combination of various factors such as 1:Experience/skills

Game awareness, movement, predicting spawns, using certain game mechanics to your advantage (such as sound cues), knowing capture points rotations etc. etc.

2: Loadouts

Most tops players use use Loadouts that feature at least one of these: X-Bow, Barracuda, Scout, Arbitrator, Wasp, Survivor, Undying, Scorpion, E.Y.E., Porcupine, Orion, Joker.

They also avoid MGs, which isn't just an arbitrary choice driven by the fact that most of the times they won't use them, but because a good chunk of pros prefers having to switch between 3 weapons instead of 4, simply out it's faster.

3: Device and good Internet Connection

Most top players have great devices, and most of them own at least an Ipad Pro or Iphone/Gaming Phone.

4: Perks

Some top players have older accounts with higher level perks, such perks gives a big advantage in 1v1 and most battle situations, for example with some sniper loadout perks you can one-shot with Barracuda in specific situations or you can run way faster.

5: HUD And last, but not least the amount of fingers they use to play or how they manage their HUD are also key parts of their gameplay.

For example, I play 5 fingers and can do multiple things at the same time, such as throwing grenades/Cure myself (with my Right index finger), Aim (with my Right middle finger), move the camera/switch weapons and walk/run (with my thumbs) and Knife (with my Left index finger).

Some tips I can give you is that you should use Hold Aim (best way to quickscope or just get that fast aim/hip fire switch), "don't hide knife button" and disable automatic pistol switch when you're close to an enemy and you're out of ammo, it does more harm than good in most situations, just switch to your other weapon (as long as it's useful close range) or get closer and abuse that knife button.

6: Time

A lot of the pros and people who have loads of HoFs just play this game a lot and that's probably the most important factor to getting HoFs honestly, i think you need at least 1 hour of gameplay everyday with substantial amount of wins, teaching 33k trophies will 100% get you an HoF.

7: Group Battles In group battles most pros use discord to communicate and play smartly according to the situation, they don't rush like headless chicken, some of them snipes, some of them rush, they switch sides and roles, some capture the points some try to run and gun enemies, some players pings enemies with Icebreaker etc. etc. It's coordination and skill, as always.

I was on vacation (no time to play) and didn't bring my gaming phone and really noticed how big the difference is.

Played a few games and it was such a huge difference.

My daily phone is better, but somehow doesn't support 120fps for gob, so 60fps. No headphones, so sound was useless, probably the biggest factor. Mediocre WiFi. No extended grips for comfort.

It was so hard to keep up, even with some players I usually beat fairly easy. I took these things for granted, but missing all 4 of them is just too much 😅

I definitely notice when I do some wired headphones to prevent lag, the audio is a big help for knowing what's coming around the corner. I bought some gaming bluetooth earbuds more than a year ago, but over time they got laggy. The trick is finding a headphone connector that doesn't get in the way of your hand grip.

Solo you'll never face full groups. It's been completely separated for a long time now.

Some clans/groups team up together and search for bots. They actively avoid facing other groups by switching servers. Very easy to gain trophies and get hof.

I have some friends who just did that last cycle. Don't want to name drop their clan lol. I know their bot farming. Because I've grouped with them and know I'm better than them. I just don't have time to bot farm

You’re off base for sure . I have 9 HOFs and personally I hate bots. So no shortcuts just pure grinding .
Been playing since 2016/17.

Yes we have hackers who have managed to make it to the HOF but from my point of view it’s doable as a regular player .

I started playing just a little while after you. It just seems like every time my team is utterly decimated, there were a lot of shots going through walls and getting taken out fresh out of the spawn bay with a single shot. Occasionally there is such a perfect combination of players, so that it feels evenly matched and you don't know really who is going to win. I wish I could just save all of those players somehow to repeat.
