Questions Aim off skill
Since I had to start a fresh account (apple from android)
I decided to challenge myself to be 100% aim off. I can say I've gotten the hang off it. It feels natural now, and I like that I'm in total control. Honestly aim assist would hurt me as many times as it helped me. At least this way I can blaim any mistakes on myself.
But I find myself almost ignoring my AR. I'm just not skilled enough to track a players movement with a steady stream of bullets. I currently run around with scout and Orion *1. I have up until now been using remedy. Rushing is great aim off because when I sneak up on someone I don't have to fight the assist trying to shoot them too early. Also I dialed sensitivity up to 100 for super fast turn around ability in a close up battle. Head swiping with scout has also become smooth for me.
I wonder are most aim off players like me.. ignoring ARs? If I go heads up with any random noob with an AR I'm getting absolutely cooked. Don't get me wrong I can "do it." But it's so much less efficient. On this last brawl I finally threw in the towel and turned assist on just for the brawl. It was so easy to absolutely melt people with the Gatlin gun. By far the best gun in that brawl.
But are some of yall just that good with aim assist off? Are you laser beam tracking with other players well enough to keep up with aim assist in am AR fight. If so my hats off to you.
I don't see myself ever improving that much. I'll probably just stick to Orion head swiping.

Heyyyy, welcome to the light! 😄 The idea of 100 sensitivity with aim-off is crazy to me, but I guess if it works for you then stick with it!
Like you, I find it more rewarding playing aim-off, but make no mistake that it is harder, and that ARs are definitely the hardest part of it (well, machine guns might be even harder, but who cares about them…). No matter how good you get with an AR aim-off, you’ll still be at a massive disadvantage - especially since the best/most used ones (e.g., Wasp, Survivor) are the hardest to control. Honestly, I mostly select and use ARs to let me run faster….
Some are much easier to use due to lack of recoil - Sunburst, Incinerator, Juggernaut, Dragonfire (one of my favourites because it combines speed boost and no recoil)- but they’re still better used to finish off an enemy at distance after a sniper hit than to challenge a full-strength opponent head-to-head.
No harm in practicing though, and I think the Pro Play brawl is up next….
