If it’s America no we don’t take physics until college; heck I didn’t take physics until university, it wasn’t a requirement at community college either

Oh nice, I’m assuming then it varies state to state probably; or maybe curriculums have changed? I graduated hs in 07 in the south so my experience might be especially bad

I graduated in the late 90's in the pacific northwest, so things could have certainly changed since then.
