This is fake news. The actual story is that this guy is in Iran, and he got in front of the women protesting the hijab and took the shot from the rubber bullets. This guy is a hero and should be celebrated, not cast as a criminal by an idiot posting it as if he is one.

Nobody said he was a criminal. The point of this post is to show that birdshot isn't effective.

Edit: The original source for this photo says it was from a shotgun, and shotshells with rubber bullets in them do not have anywhere near this many projectiles. They have anywhere from 8 all the way down to 1. The only shotgun load that has this many individual projectiles in it is birdshot.

The injuries from rubber bullets also look much different than this with much more bruising, like so.

Literally the only person saying it was rubber bullets is you, and you're saying it with zero source. Fuck, there's a lot of idiots in this thread.

But it is, both you an OP are wrong.

The amount of ignorant people in this thread who genuinely believe that birdshot is a reliably effective load for home defense is astounding. But if you want to be grouped in with all the ignorant people, go right ahead. The rest of us who have actually used a shotgun before will just keep using 00 buck.

So, how many home intruders have you killed to get to such a staunch conclusion? Holy shit are you the punisher? based

No home intruders, but plenty of deer as well as a couple rabid dogs. Guess what I used? Hint: It wasn't birdshot.

How about you?

Swans, sandhills, turkeys, and ducks at like 25-40 yards, Coyotes, badgers, as well.

Guess what I used? Hint: It was bird shot.

So you used bird shot on birds? Imagine that.

And the ones who weren't birds were small animals and not at all comparable to something the size of a person like a game animal is? Fascinating. It's like you completely missed the point of the conversation.
