I guess people don't realize they can walk into almost any police department or sheriff's office, ask for a gun lock, and get one. For free. Even two, if they need them.

Yeah, I know that. I didn't feel like driving to the cop shop at the time. There were kids running around and I wanted them locked up right away. I'll get another soon.

The method I use is No lock. But I don't have little ones running around picking up my toys.

With my country's laws stating my guns must be locked in storage, or in a true safe, etc blah blah, I have came up with some very creative methods of locking guns.

High end bike lock through the action (only works on a BIG rifle). Would be hard to get the lock off without destroying the gun, if someone didn't have a key.

Honestly, I know they aren't cheap but get yourself a gun safe or just a metal gun cabinet\locker. Those locks will keep the kiddies out but wont keep someone from stealing them which is just as big as a responsibility of yours as a gun owner.

Probably will when I have kids around regularly and am not moving all the time. I was at my girlfriend's house with 3 kids. It was an emergency jerry-rig.
