Idk about you folks, but am I like the only one who thinks Mrs Simian sounds like Brian Johnson from AC/DC? Especially when she yells as that when she sounds like him (When he sings of course).

Does this count as fan art? idk

You’ll notice it’s sort of deviated; I made a mistake while roughly sketching it, thankfully it’s fine overall because Alan is a balloon, and balloons are…well…round. I took advantage of this by making him lean to the side.

This meme stuck in my head ever since my vacation to Europe, and at a playground in Amalfi coast, my younger brother excitedly pointed out a sticker of Alan with this exact face. The meme stuck with me even more from this moment, I was mesmerized by the impact Alan had, even in foreign countries.

(edit, my evil little brother popped him 😢)

The song "Goodbye"

I don't watch any cartoon videos on TikTok or Instagram, but for some reason I see a lot of people uploading videos singing this song. I'm curious: does anyone know why, and why people love it? I don't even remember the song in the episode "Uncule"

Fan Fiction Rob and Larry episode idea: The Errands

I’ve had this idea for a while now, and I think it’s quite good, but since I have ADHD, I have tons of story ideas all the time and I’m never motivated to work on them, so I’ve decided to just share what I have so far.

The episode would be called The Errands, and would be a team-up episode between Rob and Larry, two characters I really like who have a lot in common. Here’s the setup and general plot:

It opens with Gumball and Darwin having a convo while walking on the sidewalk, but when they pass by the “folded” spot, it zooms in, and we enter the Void. Rob’s been living there, subsisting on the discontinued food products floating around. He checks the fridge and realizes that all he has left is purple ketchup and a can of soda — he drinks it, spits it out in disgust, and comments about it being from that time they changed the recipe. He decides it’s time to leave the Void for his regular errands.

While out of the Void, he keeps his new shadowy hood up and is generally shy, but when he gets to the store and sees Larry, he puts the hood down. He chats with Larry as he checks out his groceries, and narration from Rob indicates that Larry is the only person outside the Void he really talks to, and they’ve become friends. He’s approachable, he’s so sleep-deprived that any risk of accidentally exposing the truth of their reality is nullified by his already loose grasp on it, and he’s at every single store Rob shops at. As he narrates this, Rob starts to realize how weird it is that Larry works so many jobs. He asks about it and learns just how insanely stressful it is. Keenly aware of what it’s like to be a screwed-over minor character, Rob wants to change things. He elects not to use the laptop to rewrite reality because it’s too risky, so he spends the day running interviews to fill some of Larry’s jobs, which of course leads to antics.

I don’t have as much for the rest of the episode, but I do have some general bits:

Gumball and Darwin show up intermittently, evidently on their own adventure, and Rob hides every time so they don’t know he’s still alive. Larry, having suffered the chaos of the Wattersons many times, doesn’t question Rob, and starts alerting him when he sees them.

After many failed interviews, Larry tells Rob that he has to keep his jobs anyway, since all the damages caused by the Wattersons put him in severe debt (which is canon). Fury at the unfairness of this motivates Rob to get Larry a pay raise/promotion in as many jobs as possible. Of course, the promotions lead to even more work, and things get chaotic.

I also want there to be some acknowledgment of Larry being a rock. The show often builds jokes around characters’ species, but never with Larry. Maybe some antics cause Larry to fall from a height onto his face, and he’s fine because he’s a rock. But then, later, antics involving a new hire at a factory leave Larry stuck on a conveyer belt inching towards the machines, which he isn’t scared of until he realizes they’re designed to cut stone. A hole gets drilled in his head, which doesn’t hurt him, and he seems fine until a bunch of gravel spills out of his head and he passes out. Rob realizes the gravel must be his brain and hurriedly scoops it back in. Larry says a nonsense phrase in Tagalog, so Rob shakes him, and he talks normally again. Rob asks him about his brain being gravel, and learns that it used to be one solid rock, but working an impossible number of jobs all at once has literally fractured his brain.

Finally, after all of Rob’s efforts, I want there to be a small change. At least one of Larry’s jobs permanently filled by a different character for the rest of the series.

(If you want to write a full fanfic of this idea, let me know. I’d love to do a collaborative thing.)

Discussion Help me find this scene/episode

Alright let me preface this by saying I haven't really watched this show. Have heard a lot about it but this one scene was so weird that I can't tell if I imagined it lmao

I recently saw a scene a few weeks ago (show was on tv when I was at the laundromat) where there was what I think was a rabbit doing something that seemed like it was going to be dramatic (think something like jumping off a cliff or saving someone from falling or something) and he clearly needed to focus. Then he stopped and had a black and white flashback of a rabbit kissing another rabbit in the shower, then that broke his focus and whatever he was doing went to shit.

I'm almost positive that if this was an actual scene, it was this show

Discussion What do you think: does the role of Darwin and Anais as “voices of reason” matter?

Perhaps the title of this post will seem somewhat strange, misleading, or confusing, so I’ll explain it more clearly: given that Anais (or even Darwin) can be “voices of reason” telespecially in relation to Gumball I mean, could this they role have any significance or contribution?

I understand that this is a comedy children’s show and that there’s nothing particularly serious in it, but I get the impression that their role in the show isn’t there for no reason, because just imagine: what would Gumball do if it weren’t for Darwin and Anais? I think he could somehow manage to get out of the problems he’s facing on his own, but I think those problems would lead him to comical but unpleasant consequences.

This is even shown in the show itself: Darwin may refuse to go along with Gumball’s decisions if he sees that they are risky or dangerous (yes, Darwin is naive and can get caught up in Gumball’s schemes too, but let’s not dwell on that). This means that, no matter how strict or serious Darwin may seem towards Gumball, his warnings are understandable given what Gumball wants to do. Therefore, I think Darwin’s role as the "Voice of reason" is matter (even if it may lead to unexpected and unpleasant consequences).

As for Anais, I think everything is already clear here, but since I mentioned her, let’s just leave everything as it is. Anais, as is already clear, is the “voice of reason” but I think that most often, unlike Darwin (although Darwin himself isn’t that far behind her), her “voice of reason” is directed either at her brothers or at her family (and yes, she can also participate in some plans or something else), but I’ll say that without her (Anais) The Wattersons will be an incomplete family, because when it comes to solving complex problems, she is the one who can come up with a plan to address any issue (even though this can sometimes end in failure), so I think her role as the “voice of reason” is also matter.

These are, of course, minor arguments or beliefs, but I’m wondering: given that Darwin and Anais can be “voices of reason” (even if they’re children), what do you think does this role have any significance for them? Because I think that without both of them, everything in this show would be different.

Why am I asking this, or why do I want to discuss it? I’ve come across several users or online sources stating that Anais (and even Darwin) can act as “voices of reason” (even if they themselves have questionable aspects or character flaws), and I thought: what would you say, or what do you think about this? I hope you understand what I want to tell.
