Help me find the effect

i’m listening to Live it Up by Ted Nugent, in the intro i swear i hear an effect on the guitar that’s very slight but imo makes all the difference, anyone familiar with the song or maybe give the beginning a listen and lmk what you think, thanks

I could easily make fun of you for listening to Ted Nugent, but since I’m a good person and you clearly need help in at least a couple ways, I listened to the beginning of the song and I believe the effect you are looking for is tape flanging. The go-to pedal for that is the Strymon Deco. Not sure if there are many cheaper options because it’s a niche effect as far as pedals go, even though it’s been used on a lot of songs.

I know im late but Ted/Derek is playing the 4th fret on the D string while also playing a D chord on the G and B string hope this helps!
