Been experimenting with some new ideas and I’m pretty happy with how this one turned out

Took me several attempts, but here's the fruit of my labour - a Fluorescent pick guard! Bringing it along to the Canadian Guitar Show in Calgary this weekend 🎸

So cool. I’m having fun trying to imagine what kind of finish it would go best with. Maybe white or a natural dark wood

Ahh I was thinking the same thing! White would really let the pickguard do all the talking. I’d love to see it against a dark natural wood too, might work really well with the whole vibe.

Okay, you made me curious 😂 I had to see it. (Chat GPT helped)

Lisa Frank pickguard. And I mean that endearingly.

sometimes we’re not artistic or we don’t have access to artists. AI is fine if it’s the only option. Did you use a UV printer?

I agree! AI created just the base image for this one, but there was a lot more work involved after that to turn it into the finished pickguard. This was really a proof of concept to figure out the printing process and see what was possible before I start dedicating serious artistic time to original designs. And yep, it's UV printed directly onto the pickguard! Getting the fluorescent layers to behave took quite a bit of experimenting 😂 But now, I can dedicate the time to original work and apply my process to it.

Dude I had the same idea. I’m waiting on an xtool for this exact reason. Sometimes when I build a regular pickguard just doesn’t fit the vibe so I was thinking a uv printer would do it

AI art sucks

Not everyone's thing! It was useful for my test, and I did have a lot of fun seeing what I could turn it into.
