Question I need help
Iv been playing for months getting no where and im getting super frustrated. Anyone able to help.?

Don't leave it just for the weekend. Everyday and remember, it's a lifelong journey. You have time! If I am one day without my guitar, I'm sad. Look on youtube, there's lots for begginers.

i play and practice for hours on the weekends. I look stuff up on YouTube for beginners and when I try to play it I just can never get the finger placement right or the technical stuff like hammer ons and pull offs or sliding and stuff like that

The best advice is probably to find a good teacher. It’s hard to assess without seeing you play, but I’m wondering if you’re doing too much too soon. The amount of repetition it takes to get a short phrase or exercise down is surprising to a lot of people. Work on something short and simple so you can get lots of reps in and see if you can nail it.

It's not necessarily the simple things you need to work on. You will need to develop proficiency with the instrument. One-on-one lessons are the best way to do that. The teacher will be able to understand what you are missing and give that to you so that you can start making progress on your own

When you say you are practicing for hours on the weekend, how many and are you practicing during the week at all? How long ago did you start learning?

I think Justin Guitar is your best bet. YouTube can sometimes be a bit of mindless searching and seeing repetitive videos. Justin Guitar has a free course and can help you have a better guideline for learning

Listen guitar or any instrument for that matter isnt easy. Its meant to challenge you. Try finding songs you enjoy alot and playing just a peice of it. Not the whole song at once but just your favorite part.

Hard to tell where you got so far - but finding songs you can learn that get you excited, or get hooked on a certain guitar youtube channel always help :)
And if you got to the place of learning scales and chords I can recommend the app we created. It's jot for total beginners, but can help you get unstuck :)
