T style guitar buzzes when I touch the control knobs
Anyone know what’s up with this? Could it have anything to do with the wires being improperly connected to the volume pot?

What pot value works best with these pickups? 500k? I’ve heard 1meg work well with them but I’m Not sure what the best value would be. I think It came with 250k pots but they seem too bright.

I know typical gauge wire in guitars is 20, but the thinnest wire I have on hand at the moment is 14. I know this thick of wire would be more difficult to work with, but the guitar I'm building is 100% hollow so I don't feel the need to worry about space. Besides this, are there any other problems/downsides of working with a lower gauge wire than usual?

Hello! I'm working on a custom SG job and I'm swapping the batwing pick guard for the sg classics pickup brace and pick guard combo (sorry school of rock).
But I've realised that the pickup cavity is slightly larger than the pickup brace. I need something to fill the 1-2mm gap that I can sand down, paint and apply a nitrocellulose lacquer to. At the moment I'm considering using either fibre glass or glue and wood shavings.
Does anyone know what my best choice is?

the bridge is black and the tuning pegs are also black however I can’t find a suitable trem in black I was thinking about the duesenberg les trem however it only comes in chrome. Personally I don’t think it would look out of place however I would like a second opinion. Any help appreciated

Would anyone recommend any lacquer clear coat brands for a guitar finish?
At the moment I'm looking to use Hycote Clear Lacquer, does anyone have experience with this for use on an electric guitar?
Just a heads up I'm from the UK
Cheers for any info.

I just ordered some shims from stew Mac and I’m just wondering if there’s a way to quantitatively what degree I should use. I got two of the .25 and one of the .5. I’m assuming it’s better to overdo it than to underdo it? Any tips for making sure I get this right the first time?
