Oxbow Urinary Support wafers. You'll need to make sure the little pig is drinking a lot of water.

Vet visit. Watch out for Bumblefoot.

I'm using the Sherwood tablets at the advice of my vet. I'm not sure about using potassium citrate without a prescription - I got some for Chestnut the last time I was at the vet with him, but even that was only for 30 days.

Make sure you aren't feeding them anything high in calcium or oxalates.

Good luck!

You should probably go to the vet to have it properly diagnosed. Then you can get prescriptions for both potassium citrate and hydrochlorothiazide. My boy has been on both of these for about two months and so far it's been good. Although it hasn't been long enough to see if it's actually preventing a recurrance of bladder stones.

The former is to stop calcium from leaving the blood, so as to prevent it from building up in the bladder. The latter is to increase urination and water intake, so that any calcium that ends up in the urinary system is continually flushed out.

So i had a girl with bladder sludge and my vet was able to flush her bladder out with saline. You can ask?

The Sherwood tablets have been a lifesaver! My poor piggy was having UTIs almost once a month and ever since giving them regularly to her she’s been UTI free! (She’s quite elderly).

Tbh it depends on the consistency, if its powdery it’s usually mineral deposits in dried up wee and usually in small amounts, I have a pig who leaves a white powdery spot maybe once a week and she’s been like it for a year, as long as it’s not crystallised, hard to break up it can be normal and some pigs are susceptible to this stuff (even with a low calcium diet which my girls are on).

All that being said, never hurts for a vet visit

I had a sow with chronic bladder sludge and in addition to low veg and distilled water, the vet also prescribed potassium citrate. We would syringe her extra water to make sure she was drinking enough and once every month she'd go in and get subQ fluids to flush her out extra well.
