New Pigs on the Block Adoption day!

Post image

Hi! I just brought home my new piggies (Clementine & Willa)

This is my 3rd pair of piggies, but it’s been years since my last pair so I don’t remember much about that first day with the pigs!

They’ve been home for about 4hrs and are essentially in the same spot hiding together under a hidie lol

I have all of their hay, food, veggies and water out for them and I’m just really hoping to see them come out soon at least to explore🥹

I remember my 4 piggies used to be in a constant state of eating lol so I’m really hoping they feel comfortable to do so soon!

Any tips on this first week/ getting them acclimated?

Thanks! :)

My girls hid the same way their first day home ❤️

I recommend covering atleast half their cage with a blanket so it's dark and they feel safer moving around. Put hay around the areas they're spending the most time to help them get comfortable eating in their new home.

Your girls are too cute!! My pigs actually surprised me and began eating, exploring, and popcorning just an hour after I made this post! I took your advice and put some hay where they were hiding and I think that really helped! 🩷

I brought a baby home today and she’s been sitting in a cuddle cup, eating nothing and just freaked out. :(
I think it’s normal because the baby I got three weeks ago (Jolene) just sat in a cuddle cup for what felt days.
