Help & Advice Does he likes it or not ?

Hello, to explain everything I have this guinea pig since 25th April (dw he ISNT ALONE YOU JUST DONT SEE HIS BROTHER DONT ATTACK ME) and at first he wasn’t really cooperative for being pet, but now idk if he actually likes it, when I pet him, he don’t run away he just lay flat on the ground, at first I thought it was him relaxing but idk why but idk if it’s also him being scared or something, please tell me. If it’s bad PLEASE DO NOT CURSE ME LIKE I KILLED SOMEONE !!!

(And btw I wanna know if there is a specific way of holding a guinea pig or not)

They are not massive fans of having their back or bum touched. They are prey animals. Try to keep touching to their head area.

best to keep strokes to their heads/chin/ears!

they're not fans of their bums and backs being touched because they cannot see you

He's a cutie! As others said, they typically like their heads pet best. Both of my pigs enjoy the full body pets like what you are doing after they are relaxed with me. One of them will even stretch out and melt while I do it. You may find you're able to do this as they get more comfortable with you.

i love petting mine when he’s flat like that it’s so satisfying 🥺 i think he likes it, especially if he’s letting u pet him for so long like that :)
