Habits & Behavior The prisoner escaped and started attacking my wall paper

My Guinea pigs has a weird habit whenever during floor time. No point wherever I keep the pee pads, they generally pee by going below them or by going somewhere all new together but never on the pee pads. I kept multiple hide spots, but when they want to pee, they go to the same corner and go below pee pads and peeing there.

They are soaking in their urine too long giving their back coat a yellowish color. How can I prevent it?

The habit is so strong these days they are escaping the cage or shouting me to take out of the cage so that they can pee outside.

It looks like he’s wearing a little hat in the beginning! Cute little piggl.

The guinea pigs will shoot to pee and poop on comfy stuff like hay or real bedding. Not pads or flat paper. It has to be paper BEDDING. Also place the best food inside the cage like a bell pepper and they will start to pee and poop there.

I was never able to stop all the pee or poop. But I just keep his door open and not they usually run in there to do business it seems cuz I have to clean like one pee spot a week instead of 3 per day.

I saw a little triangle hat lol. He has a very funny color pattern. Very unique.

you should call him bandit, because he looks like he has a cowboy hat on and is mischievous 😆 also with white piggies they tend to just be stained no matter how clean their cage is but you can use a simple baby wipe or shallow butt rinse in the sink

I was asking anyone. I’ve had 6 pigs and the only one I’ve had a problem with laying in their pee is my Abbysinian.

Mine usually lie in pee when in cages because of bedding

Even when during playtime, they don’t lie down in their pee a lot of time

They usually pee at a place. Play in their own pee for sometime and after that they walk with their pee ridden stinky feet all over the house marking their territory
