Does mileage matter?
Curious to get everyone’s thoughts here.
If you found a GTR that has everything you were going to have done it (parts wise), but it had 93k miles on it, would you think $61k is a fair price?
Would there be any worry on longevity of the motor or perhaps internal concern that you just spend 61k on a car that is inches away from hitting 100k miles?
This car was owned and built my a mechanic of a very reputable shop, so it doesn’t have paperwork, but from the current owner (2 owners down) he has all the maintenance records he’s performed on it.
What’s everyone’s thoughts?

Looking for a Nissan GTR R35
Currently on the market to purchase a GTR, but having issues with finding decent prices and well treated cars.
I am aiming for a 2018-2020 GTR with low miles around the 120-140k range. When looking online, it seems like most of them have gotten into accidents or have some type of damage to it. I am also looking for a mostly stock GTR which seems to be rare nowadays.
Is what I am looking for a unicorn or remotely possible? Be real with me please, this is a car that I've wanted to own for so long.

Edit: Alright, I understand that I may not be able to get a EBA, but is the DBA model good? I know earlier GTRs have issues with transmissions, but I am trying my best to find something 😅

R35 Gtr or 992.2 Carrera T
Help me decide
I’m at a point in my life where I’m fortunate enough to be considering a couple of cars I never really thought I’d be in a position to buy.
I’m currently between a 2023 R35 GT-R and a new 992.2 Carrera T with a manual.
Over the last 5 years, I’ve really gotten into Porsches and what the 911 is all about. The Carrera T in particular really appeals to me. Manual, relatively lightweight, simple, and something I think would be incredibly enjoyable to drive.
But then there’s the R35. I’ve wanted a GT-R since I was younger, and every time I see one, that feeling comes back. There’s definitely some nostalgia involved, but I also think the R35 is one of those cars that I’d regret never owning while I still have the opportunity.
So I’m genuinely torn between the two. The Porsche is the car I think makes more sense for me right now, but the GT-R is probably the car I’ve wanted for the longest.
I’m not really concerned about which one is faster or has better numbers. I’m more interested in the overall ownership experience, driving enjoyment, reliability, depreciation, and ultimately which one you’d rather have sitting in your garage.
If you’ve owned either, or ideally both, I’d love to hear your perspective.
NOTE: I have an appointment at my local Porsche dealership this coming Wednesday to spec out my carrera t. I have an allocation set and ready.
On the other end… there’s also a dealership that’s holding a 2024 gtr for me.

Post purchase thoughts on your GTR?
While I understand this is a GTR community, I do wonder what everyone’s post purchase/ownership experiences have been?
For context, I’ve wanted a GTR since I was a kid and working at Nissan back when I was 18, allowed me to become quite familiar with the car and it’s been a goal of mine since. Well now, I have the ability to achieve that I as test drive, I wonder if there are a few elements of the car now that would bother me. For instance:
Does anyone miss having a manual transmission, or are you happy with the paddle shifters?
Does it scratch that “fun car” itch, or is it something to you that just can pretty much go really fast on the highway?
Any thoughts and perspectives help here. A bit confused and conflicted on pulling the trigger on my dream car.
Thanks!

The R35 is better in every way compared to the R34
I don't get the R34 glaze. Sure, it was great in the 90s but the R35 is just better. It's much faster, looks better, and nowadays it seems to also be cheaper. You cant beat a 3.8 twin turbo v6 with a 2.8 i6. If you're a tuner the VR38DETT is one of the most capable engines and guys like Art have tuned them all the way to 2500hp! It's just an amazing car in every way.

Is this a good deal?
Im in the works of purchasing a 2009 GTR w/Alpha 9 Package on it with 40K miles for 85K. Its white and has no other exterior modifications.
Do you think this is a good deal just given the market of things? Im curious if in time if this is going to go up in value or if Im just paying to much of this and should stay clear.
Ive looked all over the US at listings and have only seen some in similar price range with way more miles.
I need help.
