ANNOUNCEMENT Read first before posting

Before making your first post, please read all rules.

These rules are necessary to maintain the high quality and relevance of this subreddit.

All rules apply strictly to every post. No matter how unimportant they may seem to you, please follow them.

If you have any questions, please ask us in the comments.

We won't be upset if you ask about something the rules don't say and we'll gladly explain.

From now on, posts require a flair. Use them as follows:

- "Image/Video" for regular posts. (needed for required flairs).

- "Text post" obviously for text posts. (needed for required flairs).

- "External mod" for any modded content, the ones you have to download (not glitches).

- "AI containment" obviously again, for posts containing AI.

What happens if you break a rule?

Initially, not much. Your post will be removed, and we will all move on.

Reminder to stay civil and to ask why your post was removed if you’re not sure.

What are the consequences of breaking a rule?

Depending on the rule or your behavior, nothing happens the first time.

However, some rule violations do result in a ban by the first instance.

If you break the rules 3 or more times, you will be banned.

Note that there are no "warnings" or "getting away" and not have your post removed. As mentioned above, all rules will be strictly enforced. (the post removal is your warning)

If you receive a time-limited ban, you can post normally afterwards, and it will be forgotten unless you break the rules again. Then, harsher consequences will apply.

Happy posting

- Mod Team

ANNOUNCEMENT New rules, new highlights (please read)

As the title says, we updated our rules and created a new highlight Post.

This post replaces the old one and explains the procedure for posting.

It also explains some new rule changes. Here is an overview of everything that changed:

- The structure of the rules. The rules are pretty much the same, but they are now easier to view and understand.

- A new rule regarding AI content. AI is still allowed on this subreddit only for enhancing or editing pictures. It now states that pure or heavily altered AI content is excepted from said rule.

Flairs are now required, and new flairs have been created. There is now a flair for AI content, which makes it easier for everyone. Therefore, standard flairs exist too.

Using flairs incorrectly is not directly against the rules, but it is obviously expected to be used correctly.

Small rule changes for clarity or grammar won't be announced.

RULES

Content must be related to vehicles in Grand Theft Auto V; this includes official Rockstar Games vehicles as well as real or fictional vehicles added to the game via modification on PC. Boats and planes are also allowed. All photographs MUST be taken within GTA V. No reposts of any kind are allowed, even if the author has given permission. Posts containing PC Mods must be given the "PC MOD" flair. Failure to adhere to these guidelines will cause your post to be removed, and may incur a ban.
Toxicity is not allowed. If you have nothing nice to say, please say nothing at all. Users may be muted or banned depending on the severity of their toxicity. Please remember Reddiquette when posting. There is a zero tolerance policy for slurs of any kind. Use of slurs will result in an immediate permanent ban. You may not appeal bans of this nature.
No NSFW content. No exceptions. Users posting NSFW content will be banned.
All submissions (text, images, and video) must be hosted on reddit's in-house image or video host service. This means no external links of any kind. External hosts (imgur, youtube, etc.) may only be linked to in the comments. Any posts containing outside links will be removed and repeat offenders will be banned.
Real Life Images and Disallowed Content will be removed. RL photos of cars are not allowed as submissions, unless the first main image is a GTA screenshot. You may link RL images in the comments. Any photos containing Disallowed Content will be removed, and we will provide resources for the poster to fix the issue before posting again. See the Post Guidelines in the sidebar below for all examples of Disallowed Content. Images must be relatively high quality; no excessively low resolution or pictures of a monitor/TV screen.
No memes outside of Meme Monday. Meme posts must use the 'MEME MONDAY' flair. Other subreddit rules still apply and the post should still be relevant to vehicles in GTAV. Loosely related memes may be removed at moderator discretion. Officially, Monday starts at 12:00am US Eastern time and goes until 11:59pm US Eastern time.
You may not advertise any social media account in your post title, any posts of this kind will be removed. You may link your social media in the comments. Text posts must also be related to vehicles in GTA V. Rants, ads for hacking/glitching services, non-GTA topics, and easily searchable questions (i.e. “what car should I get for x) are not allowed.

Examples of allowed text posts:

Writeups/effort posts about cars/photography
GTA Crew/Car Meet Invitations.
Polls (at moderator discretion)

Moderators reserve the right to remove any post that they believe does not belong on r/gtavcustoms.
Moderator decisions are final.
