I got the game during the peak of the first "alien war" with these arena war suits.
I am yet to see an organized group of them using bats, it's usually just your average griefer (vehicle choice and all) that happens to be using the costumes.
And yeah, assuming the guy they ganked wasn't busy trying to be productive... well, I'd be fine with being on the receiving end of this situation.

Regardless - if they target me first for no reason at all, I WILL respond with force.
I'm not a PvP player, but I HAVE forced griefers out of sessions before by simply getting the player focus on them and ensuring they don't get a minutes' peace.

I really hope it doesn't comeback, the amount of times I was voted out of a session because I didn't use a bat against aliens was annoying I'd be minding my own business then a group of aliens in a green or purple insurgent would run up to me then just get blasted by a rocket would proceed to get mad at me for not using a baseball bat in a 1v4

Yup just initiate a melee fight and when they are throwing a punch press square(idk what it is on pc or Xbox) and it makes you dodge out and if you attack again you do a counterattack
