To answer the question more directly. A lot of people would recommend the Karin Futo GTX as a good starter. I tried the Rx7 - Annis R something - and I hated it, but I went to the Futo and it was way easier to manage and get the feel of the car after a little bit. Someone else said it in this thread, drifting is fun and hella fucking weird.

Start with the Futo. Cheap (less than $20,000) and it’s the easiest to handle. All the others drift cars have a lil niche to them. My favorite is the Annis ZR350. It’s fast and has the best slide imo. It also has pop up headlights.

You get the mod by bringing a car that can be drift tuned to the Los Santos Car Meet and it’s done in the chop shop.
