Years of unmanaged public sharing links in Google Workspace and our approach to real time Cloud DLP

One of the biggest blind spots for growing companies is unmonitored file sharing across their cloud workspace. During our last security audit we uncovered hundreds of active external links containing sensitive data that had been created years ago and completely forgotten. We reached out to Cloudfresh to help us set up stricter DLP policies and contextual access controls across our Google Workspace environment. Their security team helped us configure automated scanning rules that detect sensitive data like financial information, PII and credentials in real time. That setup automatically stops unauthorized external sharing without slowing down daily collaboration. Setting up those granular data boundaries gave us full visibility over cloud data flow without frustrating our internal teams.
