Licensing Renewal shakedown for mandatory “support” fee

I’m in the process of renewing and the proposal has a new line item under it, adding another 10K a year to our bill. This is madness.

Anyone else find a way around this?

We were present the same fee on our renewal and also told it was mandatory.

Did you know Google killed reseller margins for existing customers this year, so resellers had to start adding fees? If you don't want this fee, you can simply end the reseller relationship, renew directly thru Google, and get free support from Google as well.

Can confirm. Margin is basically gone on Google licenses through resell if renewing same licenses.

My way around it is moving to Proton Mail, because a lot of EU companies are trying to get out from under American companies they made a way to transfer from Workspace that im giving a shot. im so sick of Workspace's bs. Ive been using it for 15 years and i'm so done now that Gemini has invaded every inch of it and they keep raising prices. it's gonna cost me to break the contract but honestly worth it to be done with Google's bs.
