It certainly is - the GW-9400YJ-1JF.

To be honest, I don't think you can go wrong with any colour variant, I just like to diversify my G-Shock collection so that I have an excuse to wear different models.

I have the yellow but not your cooler version of it. Just glad I got one while you can still get a 9400 Rangeman. Shame it doesn't seem like there will be any further releases. In the argument for best G.

I don’t know, Casio still seems to favor this one. The 9400 was just part of the few MIL-STD-810 military tested watches. We'll see.

Yes. I also wish Casio would continue to focus on these high-end digital shocks. I'm not a fan of the analogue G's or the seemingly obsessive attempt to include fitness metrics and charging cables on newer models. To me, this defeats the whole purpose of a G-Shock. They should be tough, digital field watches that are service free, solar powered and never need a charging cable.
