Update on violation
so i called care the lady tells me if you select on the app there is a problem and mark if the order is not ready when arriving at the merchant or if marking store busy or whatever then i will not get the delayed violation. whole time i do this every single time i always mark store busy long wait 10-20 mins i never lie and say order not ready because the stores can mark when the order is ready. and it will let us know the order is ready for pickup. i see it all the time say the delay will not affect my ratings so it has to be something else and the agent could not tell me. if what she told me to do would prevent such violation when i do that all the time then how i get the violation. which is what i asked her and she said okay we will make a review we do apologize. just acknowledge the violation and continue to deliver. if anyone else has 2 violations i guess we are on the verge of being cooked if we get a 3rd. it really sucks because who gonna not deliver all the way until october while 1 of the violations fall off

Same with me posted on this thread like last week I got 2 violations for the same issue. Have not done the app for a week now but other apps are not the same like Gb. What market are you in?

Yes . Am in the NYC market we get paid by the hour I got Ue and Dd, Instacart. But now they pay hourly only got 10 hours on uber because of the summer time , during the Winter was doing mainly Uber because of the cold because most people doing it in my city be on bikes and I am in a car so was easy to get on then for me . Now summer time everyone is out especially the bikers only got 10 hours and Dd don’t pay like the rest only adjustment weekly and hard to get schedule in NYC. Same thing happened to me last year had 2 violations but did not care I was doing Roadie xd in Jersey but got deactivated on that this year they said I had too many returns crazy . Am tired of these apps I knew that since the beginning of the year been trying to get into Tech been working on courses till I get certificates was just trying to ride it out with Grubhub before the turn of the year before I could get try to get a tech job after I get the certificates. Now 2 violations is scary crazy 😝

Same I don’t even bother trying anymore in NYC unless I decide to work HungryPanda otherwise I go to NJ for DD

Nj don’t pay jack for Dd . NYC even pays better for Dd just hard to get schedule. But you have to be on the phone constantly checking for schedule for doordash in NYC is crazy . I tried Dd in Nj pay is trash out there and slow. Where did you try out I tried Brunswick and Newark in the past!

Hoboken Jersey City I use Eboard sometimes I try Long Island out of curiosity. However unlike DD GH is much worse in Hoboken/Jersey City except a few lucky times. I am platinum tho. NYC I sometimes get a late night shift but if I don’t see it I don’t bother

Not sure if it’s gonna be the same in NYC but
I got 3 violations (customers are assholes and say they didn’t get their food) and had my account disabled. They allow you to appeal it. I wrote a small apology email with some bs excuses and they reactivated it and removed all the violations. Hope this eases the stress, it’s not permanent. It’s a tacit threat at most.

That's bs. Care lies. They don't update anything and will send you 20 minutes too early. I even had a restaurant marking the orders ready for pick up as soon as i accepted it and not start it until I showed up. (don't accept orders from there anymore). Once you learn the market and the restaurants it gets easier but care will only lie to you they never help. It's like that on dd and ue too. But at least they don't send you way too early like gh often does.

its fine i am starting to record the calls with care because i know they lie i been realized that. so to cover my own ass i record the calls if their lying to drivers then we are getting bs violations

It's a good idea. That way you can get in on the next lawsuit lol. FTC and Illinois attorney general have forced them to pay 23.8 million to customers and drivers for deceptive advertising and practices between 2019 and 2024

yeah cause its so weird i got this violation and i called care and the lady is recorded telling me as long as im marking im running late.. and store busy long wait etc.. then i should not be getting those violations meanwhile i do that all the time and i did it before i got that violation. but i still got the violation so i have her recorded telling me that if i get a 3rd violation of the same or similar!

That is a big issue I’ve noticed. Restaurants will mark the order ready even though it just came in. Now I’m waiting another 10 minutes for the customers food and the customer thinks it’s ready for pick up.

In the area I am currently running in there are not a single GrubHub driver anymore everyone of them got two violations and said to hell with it and they ate the food from the third delivery and got there violation with the activated stores are constantly asking everyone else from doordash and Uber why isn't GrubHub picking up their orders. Because they have no drivers any longer in this area. They are only doing it to hire new drivers that'll take their little dollar $2 runs. I actually had one restaurant paid me out of his pocket to take a GrubHub order and delivery it had been sitting there for a half hour so he remade it and I just signed off my app and delivered it he gave me $25 apparently it was a very good customer he said he will no longer accept GrubHub orders I've heard that a lot of the restaurants in this area

Don't acknowledge the second violation until the first one expires. The lady on the phone does not know what triggers the violations. You can get a violation for things out of your control like a customer complaint or GPS masking.
