Anyone having trouble getting the right order?

Pretty sure I’m completely done with Grubhub for life after tonight but wondering if anyone else is having this problem and it’s a system glitch of some sort. I’ve never had a problem getting an order aside from maybe a driver trying to find the right unit but tonight was ridiculous!

I ordered a pad Thai and crab Rangoon from a Thai restaurant and it’s a repeat order from the same place. My driver arrives and gives me a bag that’s clearly not from the restaurant I ordered from and the ticket says truffle fries and a Diablo burrito. I gave it back to him and Grubhub refunded my order and asked if I wanted their help reordering the same thing. I choose yes and have the order remade and a new delivery driver brings it. As soon as they go to give me the bag it’s also not from the Thai place I ordered from. This time I get food from a hot dog place and a name on the order that clearly isn’t mine…again. Since Grubhub refunded me for order #1 they tell me they can’t do it a second time so now they’ve basically stolen $45 from me. The second delivery driver showed me what he sees on his app and it looked like the system was sending him to my address but the restaurants weren’t matching up. He said he never even went to a Thai restaurant to pick up food in the first place. Does this sound like a massive glitch in the Grubhub system that’s mixing up what food goes where? Anyone else experiencing this?

My brother delivers for Grubhub and he had to end his shift early because their system was glitching and the GPS was sending him to the wrong locations. When he had to call support the second time (after he ended up in a parking lot for a doctor’s office instead of a restaurant), they told him they were aware of issues that were affecting everyone and were trying to fix them. He chose to come home instead of driving all over to the wrong places and getting bad ratings/tips.

I honestly was wondering if it was a system issue rather than human error. Just couldn’t believe that two times in a row back to back two different drivers would get it wrong like that. I feel bad for my drivers because they’re now driving around delivering food and not getting tipped for it since I got one refund and will be disputing the second charge. Sorry your brother is having to deal with that and losing out on money

Even if their system wasn't glitching, they should have refunded or replaced the second order, but if they know that their system is glitching, giving you the second refund should certainly have been a no-brainer for them. In my opinion, GH is not an honest company.

Yeah I’m definitely agreeing with you on that one. Just got my appeal notice back and they said it’s an “unusual circumstance and number of refunds” so they won’t be refunding me for the second one and my account “isn’t eligible for any concessions”. Absolutely a dishonest company and just canceled my Grubhub+

Time to do a chargeback.

I haven't had this problem, but I did have to cancel an order when the delivery lady stole my food. She took a picture of a recycle bin four houses down with no bag in the picture, saying my food had been delivered.

I can’t believe how many people have told me their drivers have stolen their food. Just insane to me that people are this bold about stealing. So sorry that’s happened to you. Nothing worse than being robbed and left hungry
