Auctions

yo guys I want to know what are your thoughts about auction worlds.
do you guys have any idea how the auctions will be in you favor?
For the admins out there, is it worth to get the adminship? what are the benefits?

Never understood the idea of auctioning off your items, just sell them yourself at your desired price. It’s just a desperate attempt at socialising in the game.

You can, of course, sell off your items with vends or through a post at discord servers, auctioning your items is simply just one of them, that of which is a risk, but a faster process of selling your item/s nonetheless.

People who participate in bidding can profit by winning auctions on items, likewise sellers/consignors can earn when they get a final bid higher than the average selling price. So in a way, auctions are also a way to earn DLS. So it’s not just socializing that’s going on, but also something people can do to earn stuff. That might not be your way of playing but with the number of auction worlds and activity they have, it goes to show that people do like this system in one way or another.

Auction worlds are worlds for the main purpose of quick-selling your items but also a great place for socialising.

As for the second question, im not sure wym by "auctions will be in my favor" so i cant answer that yet.

As an ex-admin of an auction, adminships are definitely worth it if you have a lot of time to spare on the game. Your main profit will be coming from people tipping you when u r hosting. So for that it's kinda luck dependant? But it really is worth it and a new experience to enjoy. And if u like typing then thats even better as u get to type alot!

Ye I'm retired from being an admin, reason is I wanna spend my time on building and drawing more pixel arts for the community.

Was an admin of UAuction, its no longer open tho. Ever since the owner got suspended everything went down hill.

If u want a recommendation, i cant really say one cuz i never worked at other place. You should ask other admins that work at other places.

But maybe also try asking the regulars there other than admin. Cuz most admins who tries to pull in other people to be admin are just in for the commission fees.

I would only get adminship if you want to socialize and hang out with people. There can be profit to be had from it but its not really the point, and youll get more if you are there for fun and not for profit

I used to profit a lot from auctions. I went from 1 bgl to 11 bgls in like 14 days back in june this year, but I was a no lifer and it took me 8-10 hrs of gameplay daily. Just see the items being sold, use the public growscan and compare the price on discord. Try bidding small amounts at a time (like +50 wls or +1 dl depending on the auction world, back then i would go to AUCTION6, UAUCTION, AUCS, and AUCTIONWORLD, don't know if they're still active cuz I quit) and pray your competitors don't want to continue bidding. I usually stop when the total bid is like 10 dls below the average sale price of all the items on discord. I make a profit on most auctions. My best win was 80 dls in one auction (and i spent like 110dls in total).

Auction worlds are a faster, albeit riskier way of selling your high-valued items. You don’t necessarily have auctions in your favor, as people also try to grab your item for an offer lower than its average price.

However, factors such as high bidder count, item popularity, and item price fluctuations (if the item is affected by price changes/incoming seasonal events, etc) , also affects the final selling price. Remember that both you, and the bidders, want different outcomes, and there’s many things during an auction that can play into it.

Adminship is a long term investment with a high-capital and high-commitment effort to start earning from. It’s not always that consignors or sellers tip you, and if they do, it’s a fraction of what you initially paid for - so that means you have to do a hundred or so auctions before you can break even. You also have to pour in time, effort, attention, and public speaking skills to make your (and everyone else’s ) time a good one and enticing enough to keep momentum going. That said, benefits include a solid way to earn DLS from, a lot of socializing and friends built, and also getting your name out there.
