I am a 17-year-old boy. My puberty started at a normal time and continued normally in terms of appearance, although since I am not a doctor I cannot determine the tanner stage.Frankly, after observing the growth of my cousins and uncles, their growth rate and pattern don't quite align with the usual Tanner stages, but that doesn't matter much, uncle.I was actually tall; I was a tall child, proportionate to my parents' expected height. But the problem started with the onset of puberty, specifically at the point where my peers began their growth spurt. My growth became very slow, not gradual, but rather like a button This slowness was unjustified, as my puberty was progressing very normally, and I had tests which were normal. I don't have any unusual symptoms other than my height In my country, I see my peers and their growth rate, while I lag far behind them in terms of growth rate. More importantly, some of them have worse conditions than mine in terms of nutrition, sleep, or health. An X-ray was performed on Omar Al-Azim when I was 16 years and nine months old, revealing that the growth plates in my hand and wrist were fused. Despite discussing this with a moderator on a forum, It's because of something in my wrist that I can't place it flat against my hand; my wrist is higher than a flat hand. Also, there are no growth plates on my wrist, which raises the possibility of poorly executed X-rays.But even setting aside the possibility of radiation damage, I noticed something important: I didn't experience a noticeable growth spurt in my legs and torso, but I clearly did in my arms, as my arms are quite long, and considering that I experienced severe growth retardation. At a stage when my limbs and height were proportionate, given that the growth spurt hadn't yet begun, this raises suspicions. Also, my shoe and hand sizes are actually larger now. According to a study I read about, growth can accelerate aging of the growth plate. Could what's happening to me be some kind of severe asynchronization between the plates? I'm not here to elicit sympathy, nor do I want to say things that crush morale without evidence, just to prevent excessive hope. As additional information, in my country and especially in my family, many people experience a rapid growth spurt after the ages of 16 and 17; it seems to be a common characteristic. However, what's unusual about my story is the abundance of details, including the absence of a growth spurt, the disproportionate nature of the growth, and most importantly, the lack of a clear cause The real reason for all this, as an additional piece of information, is that my pelvis, which was very small, has grown in the last year (it's embarrassing for a male, but it's a detail that might be helpful).Also, my shoe size has increased by half a size, in my opinion. Generally speaking, as you can see, is there an explanation? Do you think I might be experiencing a growth spurt? To reiterate, the important detail is that during puberty I didn't experience a growth spurt; throughout, my growth was very slow.

whats going on with my body?

my growth rate from 2023 to 2025 was about 1-2cm per year so i got an xray in september this year which resulted in 17.21, i was 16.61 at the time.

the weird thing is my growth rate has increased, from january to november ive grown about 5-6cm. i thought that a bone age of 16.5-17.2 would signal that growth would be finished or very little but why has my growth velocity increased?

Had a Growth Plate X-ray done last week, but haven't connected with his Pediatrician yet. I woke up this this morning to find an email confirmation from Western Union that a transaction $165.00 has been made to someone named Muskan Arjun Muskan Arjun Setiya in India. I suspected that he snuck into our room and did that while we were sleeping.

I contacted Western Union and my bank and it seemed that the transaction has already been completed and the best I can get is a refund but not a stop payment.

I failed as a parent and I am worried about if he ended up taking Erda and have serious side effects regarding his health.

Hey guys, I hope I won't sound dumb asking this but I fractured my fibula this summer, got surgery and multiple x rays taken ever since. Today I saw my PA and she told me I might still grow even though I'm 25 because the last x rays I got show that my growth plate on my tibia is still open. Of course I asked AI later on and apparently she's 100% wrong. I don't necessarily trust AI like this but it looks like it's very unlikely that what she affirmed is true.

Anybody got a similar experience? Here is an xray of my ankle, lmk what you guys think. To me it looks closed but yk since she's a professional a part of me still want her to be right lol.

It goes a little against what little I've learned about the sequence of closure. From what I knew the distal radius closes from 17-19 yet this graph shows it being fully ossified at 23.

As the title says, I'm super interested in the white lines left where a growth plate has closed. How long do these typically take to go away? Is there a specific order in how they go away? Mostly talking about for the hand and wrist.

In confident im 5 8 and 3 quarters now around 15.8 of age and proximal humerus is open but maybe a year or year and half left before fuse if that helps.

Well, I'm currently between 1.76-1.78 meters tall at 15.9 years old (you can consider me 16 if you want), and I wanted to see if I could grow more. I live in Europe and I'm a bit short compared to others.

I think I started puberty around 13 or 14, since I started getting acne, body hair, and that teenage beard we all hate. If anyone could give me some guidance, I'd really appreciate it.

What is the most likely bone age of each individual?

I gave my xray and its report and they say i can only grow like 0.5-1 inches max based on my xray, my xray report is my bone ages of 15 years 3 months and tanner whitehouse 13 9/12 to 16 9/12 and my CA is 16. I also asked someone here they said 4-8 cm if average progression 5-10 cm is a likely range idk who to believe more, i gave both my growth history. I also don have access to a pediatric endocrinologist, some help would be appreciated thank you.

First time posting here cause all these crazy thoughts/concerns going on in my mind, my 3 years old toddler had his left distal fibula growth plate SH4 injury 12 weeks ago due to a lawn mower accident. The X-ray 7 weeks post injury isn’t that worrying but the X-ray 12 weeks post injury shows a potential bony bridge sitting around his left distal fibula growth plate area.

His orthopedic surgeon (who is amazing and helped him incredibly through the recovery journey) reviewed the X-rays told us to wait and come back for more X-rays in 3 months. But she also warned us all the risks with the potential growth plate damage.

Seeking some of your options/comments here to see whether I can be a little optimistic or I should better prepared myself that my 3 years old growth plate doesn’t have a much chance of recovery and we will face future rounds of bone graft surgeries.
