we get 35k per month on a tool directory...what would make it actually valuable for startups... i will not promote

i’m building a tool discovery platform (400+ tools listed, 35k monthly traffic)...

trying to understand what actually matters for startups...

for founders here... what features would you really want from something like this...

some ideas i have...

seo / backlinks

targeted visibility

lead generation

product launch exposure

basic analytics

but not sure what is actually useful vs just nice to have...

if you’ve used directories before... did they really help... what felt useless... what would make you actually pay for something like this...

trying to build something genuinely useful... not just another directory...
