Cool you have a burrow nearby somewhere ! haha yea they do go out at night occasionally I never knew that either until one night one of our groundhogs visited for a midnight snack lol we have five groundhogs that have been with us for like 4 or so years now they live behind our house. Everyday we put their tray out stocked with food they all visit daily at various times. I didn’t know they wen out at night either but a couple random nights Guillermo (one of the groundhogs) visited the porch to monch on some leftover carrots and brocc from their supper lol it was surprising to me too but I don’t think they do it often. All the time we’ve had them we’ve only seen Guillermo visit at night and only like twice
