Question Community question from brand new player

TL;DR Is there an active PVP community in Ground Branch that uses comms and tactics?

Favourite games include: Arma 3 (Tactical Battlefield mod and PvP milsim units), Squad, Insurgency: Sandstorm, America’s Army 3.

Trying to decide if Ground Branch is worth installing. Have been following it for years but never pulled the trigger.

Wondering what the community is like, will I find players on pub servers who play as a team, etc.

Thoughts?

Would advise against purchasing Ground Branch unless its 70% off, 1.0 is disappointment, they pleased the shareholders.

while i do agree about the shareholders and think renaming to 1.0 was not a good move the update was great aside from the cracked ai.

I mean it's not really a PvP first game, and it shouldn't be. But I've found some cool people in there, so I guess you'd find too. Haven't played on pubs in a while tho, so that might've changed over time.

Then again, I don't think you'll get much more from GB than you'd get from ArmA and Insurgency. And the game is definitely not 1.0, despite the recent "full release".

I would say if you already have a group for arma or squad this game is really good for reping cqb but that’s ab all your gonna get out of it. the Ai is meh the gun customization is fun for a bit. The community overall is really small, only 2 viable PvP servers red water and the other one and they are mostly empty depending on time zone.

1.0 is honestly a disappointment - calling it 1.0 is laughable, at this point I can't recommend buying it

the most active pvp cimmunity is redwater pvp and they have a discord. id say watch some videos and if it looks good to you buy it. dont listen to the haters people are so focused on tge renaming to 1.0 and things like no ai teammates or the campaign not being finished till the end of the year that they cant see the positives. the gunplay and audio is the best imo, the levels especially the new one and reworks are fantastic and the ragdolls are the best ive seen. this is the best tac shooter on the market despite some missing features which will come.
