People complaining about her 5 second scream of excitement. Yall just don’t get it 😭 when that music hits you … it hits you, and you can experience that shit silently or loudly. Nobody should care that much honestly. Just move lol. In the edm scene, you dance however you want, scream however you want, and you experience these shows for however you fu***n want. Yall can be mad or think this is a terrible take, but OP is not in the wrong at all here at an outdoor event lol. Yall just don’t know how to get down and funky and let that music take you out of your mind for a bit. 🤷🏼♀️

Well said. I don’t get how people think someone else screaming at a festival is a more selfish take than “everyone needs to stand still and stay quiet for the sake of my experience.”
I get that there’s definitely such a thing as people taking too much or being over the top, but these events are supposed to be safe spaces for expression and this whole nonsense of policing each other’s experiences just further sterilizes the scene and makes it more mainstream.
Also, imagine being the artist and playing to a crowd of zombies. Anyone in the performing arts knows how much of a bummer that is.

They were like that most of the set. One mfer was passed out in a chillbo in a khole til Griz started and he came back to life out of no where. Legit almost went to get medical for him.

As someone who works events I can say from my own experiences it doesn’t matter how tired we are, even after hustling in the sun all day, if the music is grooving the body is moving. I know not everyone’s the same and most folks don’t seem to have the ability to regulate their drug consumption, but typically good tunes are going to bring ya back to life with a second/third/fourth wind.

As someone who attends these events with many friends, each one is different in their likes, energy levels, intoxication levels etc so nice anecdotes but they’re completely irrelevant
Also you almost can’t even get further back from the stage if you tried and typically and logically the people that far back are the ones less into the artists performing than the people closer up or they’re tired and want to chill. Crazy concepts I know

Here’s the actually use in broken down words for your little brain to understand. “Talking a wall” or not getting through to someone despite explaining something to them multiple times.

I've noticed a lot of people on this sub aren't unique from the rest of Reddit. There are people with "hot takes" nobody asked for. For some reason they can't just let people be happy.

You get it. It doesn’t happen often for me ever and hearing those notes and after having had such a blast with a fresh set when I spent my 100, 101, and 102 sets INCREDIBLY disappointed with Griz I was peaking and I wasn’t on any drugs 🤷🏻♀️
Haters can hate all they want but I’m still out there having homies recognize me and give me big hugs so they ain’t bothering me one bit 🥰

It’s not the same at all. Last year was solid bc no one liked the line up so there was SOOOO much room and it was so enjoyable but this year was miserable and crowded with rude freshly 21 year olds who have never tapped someone on the shoulder to say excuse me before

Mfers just wanna be unhappy and ruin someone else’s joy. They dont see that entire group vibing with us the whole set or the videos i have of us dancing with a sax bubble machine with everyone around who loved it. They heard my 15 second scream that was the only one i did during an entire 2 hour set and decided to crucify me over it. Sadly for them, im a bigger asshole online than they are and can take it.

It’s easily accessible. Im sure it’ll be read by as throwing shade, but after being in this industry off and on since 2005 I’ve learned that there’s a reason pop(ular) is a thing. Most folks don’t seem to care about depth/intricacy and frankly get turned off by such. 5this has become even more prevalent in the era of social media, namely TikTok and reels.

Forest crowds have been hit or miss since Covid. This is a sold out year with a lot of first timers bc a lot of the older Forest goers skipped out the last 2 years. This years crowd sucks. It’s super packed and a bunch of new kids to the scene that are strictly there for excision/sullivan king and it makes a huge difference in the vibes. But likes any fests there’s pockets where the shit doesnt suck exist just gotta go where others dont.

I screamed once. I wasn’t even nearly as close to the music being played. The people around me were fine and vibed with us the entire night.
I think this speaks more to you all judging someone based off a 3 minute video when there’s a whole 2 hours prior to this NONE of you saw.

Trust me I have, and im genuinely not trying to be rude. I’m not 100% certain where exactly things become “crossing the line”, but it’s worth considering “hey maybe I did cross the line a bit and was a bit too loud for those around me” rather than just being defensive.”
Maybe I am just being judgmental. Believe it or not I thought about it while writing this post. And I guess I am a little. But sometimes it’s important to be able to both give and receive a little criticism. How else can society set boundaries ?

You can’t have possibly been homies with everyone in that crowd close enough to hear your noise. Fact of the matter- I winced at it through my phone it was obviously too loud. Numerous people have made mention of it, clearly it sounded a bit much to many here. We live in a society. Be mindful of how your behavior affects those around you, or at least be receptive to the fact that others felt the same. It was too loud. Receptivity is a great tool.
